New 235s owners
Many moons ago, my wife and I bought our first camper trailer. We ended up purchasing a TT at the recommendation of the sales person as he had us convinced that in Florida noone owns or buys popups. Obviously to our dismay, we realized that this wasn't the case and our first mistake: letting the sales person influence what we like.
While our TT has been good to us, it diminished the feelings that we used to get as tent campers. We no longer were woken up by the mid morning sun and sounds of the campground hustle and bustle, and no longer put to sleep by the soothing sounds of rain on canvas. Every camping trip was a struggle to want to take out the TT rather than load up all the tent gear and just go old school. That's when we knew that we had made a mistake (at least for ourselves). We wanted to have the feeling of camping but got used to the convinces of a TT in terms of comfort, setup, and prep. Thus we decided that we need to change to a HTT or a popup
While it took us about two years of frequenting these forums, reading about your stories and why you love your camper, we finally decided on our version of the best of all worlds.
My family and I want to thank all of you for your potentially unintended help with our model and floorplan decisions. It's this forum's community that helped us know that we picked the perfect camper for us and are now the proud owners of a 2020 235s.

Enjoy! We just finished our first 11 day trip in our 235s. It poured hard for 4 days. We enjoyed the sound of the rain as well as the electric heater, as it was pretty chilly several of those days. Our PUGs proved their worth a number of times and we were able to play cards at the picnic table at night without issue due to the awning and LED light strip combo. One evening we had to play cards inside because of the rain and wind, we managed to fit 6 adults around the table by pulling it out to the middle of the room and using the couch, padded bench and camp chairs. We had a few small issues, but the dealer has already set up an appointment for us after our July trip. All in all, exceeded expectations.

Best of luck with your 235S. A great open floor plan and the outdoor kitchen is a big bonus!!

Looks great! Very roomy and lux. Reminds me of my previous camper I traded in for the 2716g pop up. Except yours is much larger inside!
Fireplace, big screen tv and soundbar are nice touches.
I also thought about going from my bunkhouse Travel Trailer to a Hybrid. For me, the 2716g pop up fit me wants and needs the best.
The Roos are very nice that's for sure, enjoy!

Congrats! We just received our 2020 Roo 235S as well! She's a beauty! Have you at all noticed the graphics changing color based on ambient light?

Does anyone know if the refrigerator outside needs to be plugged into the outlet in that same cubby area? Seems then they installed (and screwed the fridge down), that the power cord is currently pressed between the fridge and back countertop lip.

Ours came already plugged in. Sorry I couldn't help. That must be frustrating.

It comes plugged in and ready to use. Turn the temperature dial on to start cooling or to 0 to turn it off when not needing it running.
I've always loved tent camping, but I also love toilets and a fridge. The 235 is our second hybrid. We picked it up in February and we love it. So much room and little things you will appreciate so much. Things like all the storage behind the TV! We put 5 to 6 sleeping bags plus all the pillows and other blankets there. Once the sleeping bags are setup we use that area to put all the duffel bags of clothes for everyone. It really helps to keep the camper clean. The shower is amazing and we actually use it. We really prefer it over the last hybrid where we used the small shower as storage.

Some folks have reported their fridge wasn't plugged in. Also water heaters and main absorption fridges. If the Amish guy's in a hurry at the factory, he forgets the final step.

Ours was definitely not plugged in. I had to unscrew the base screws in order to free the power cord, as it was pinned between the fridge and galvanized steel backsplash. All is good now. A cool 33 degrees on setting 4!

Could you tell me what the dimensions of the dinette are in this floorplan? I am wondering if we can use this as a sleeping space for one of our teenage boys.

Appears to be a standard 44" dinette:
Probably too small for a teenage boy. But there's a 60" sofa (still too short), but it may fold out.
If you find a hybrid with an 84" U-dinette, it MIGHT be big enough, if the kid isn't too tall.
The 233S has 3 bunks AND the U-dinette, seems it might be a better fit.

Thank you that helps. So the 44 means that is the width from left to right? I was debating between this floor plan and the 233s. One son will have to sleep on the dinette and my shortest kid is 6 and tallest is 63.

I've never understood the measurement "system." They've improved the graphics of their floor plans in the last couple of years and seem to have dropped showing the "size."
But if you look at older floor plans, you'll see 32" and 44" dinettes, which, looking at two floor plans side by side, appears to be the distance from the wall to the end of the bench (i.e., a 32" or 44" long bench). A 32" would be comfortable for one person, the 44" can handle two people side-by-side.
But for the U-dinette, they call it an 84" or 85" dinette, which appears to be the "length of the bed" between the facing benches when you drop the table (although I have to say I've never measured mine, but 84" is 7 feet, which looks about the right length). It definitely isn't the length of the facing benches.

Gotcha. So I guess I need to know what the distance is from left to right-minus the cushions- as if someone 6 foot tall would be sleeping on it. Does anyone have this floorplan who could measure that for me? It would help me a lot in deciding on a floorplan!

Our Rockwood Mini Lite 2104s says 85 dinette and it is 85 wall to wall with cushions removed.

In our old popup we would sleep teenagers on the floor when we caught bad storms and they couldn't stay in their tent. The 235s has plenty of space to store a gel foam mattress behind the tv during the day. In fact, it can store a queen size and twin size gel foam (both 4" deep) mattress at the same time.
