New England Dewinterize

Just wondering when folks in southern New England (MA/CT) think it's safe / usually start to dewinterize their unit?

Like last week it seemed like we were good to go, and now there's snow!

There's a few places that are open now for early season camping and we are itching to go!!

After April 15 unless you live in way upstate ME or NH/VT. There is ALWAYS a polar front that seems to come down the first week of April or so. Not a big deal if it is 30 at night for a while but not low 20's to high teens like this morning.

We're in Maine, and we'll be waiting till May......We will be staying a few nights at our favorite campground (Hid'N Pines) in Old Orchard Beach, and that's when we will dewinterize it......
That will be our very first outing with our 23ws. It was delivered to us at the end of October, and all we did since then, is look at it.....
Boy ! we're anxious !!!!

We did it - and we are camping this weekend! Slightly chill last night - those heated mattresses are great!

I looked at the long range forecast for SE CT. After tonight it looks like temps stay above 34 F. I think it'll be safe next weekend if nothing changes.

Too cool here in Wisconsin. I'll take care of it the middle of May. Did go shopping for tile though. I want to put tile behind stove and bathroom sink!

We wanted to do tile and I hesitated due to the weight as well as other issues. Then I saw these in Lowes. Sure was easy to do...easy to clean..looks like tile and weighs nothing. Although not cheaper then tile for sure.

Just an option...or not...no big deal....

Uncovered and dewinterized. Flushed the lines of antifreeze and checked for any leaks. Drained all the lines and emptied the water filter. Should survive any cold nights until we head out on the 20th.

I always target the weekend of or just after the mid-point of April. I always book a full hookup site at a PA state park. They charge only a $10 reservation change fee... So i can wait until the day before check-in, and if the temps look to get much below 30 over the next 5-6 days or so, I call and push the reservation back a week. I haven't had to do that yet, but might have to this year. 😳
