New guy, new 23IKSS

Hey everyone, new 2016 shamrock 23IKSS owner from south jersey. We picked up our unit two weeks ago . This is our first camper but between myself and the mrs have many years of camping experience. Looking forward to showing our little one all the joys of the camping world and making memories that will last a lifetime. Here's ours parked at our place overlooking the blueberries out back. Hoping to get a few trips in this fall!

Welcome to the forum. We also got a new 23IKSS this year, and really enjoy it - it is a HUGE step up from our pop-up !

Nice unit I am sure you and the family will enjoy it. I just got back from a 2 week trip in my 2017 and here are a few things I noticed during the trip. The corners of the cabinets are fragile and mine chipped easily. I went to a local hardware store and got the clear corner protectors and put them up around the island and the inside of the draws and cabinets and also the corner of the entertainment center. The gauges on the grey and black tanks seem to be way off. The gauges were reading 3/4 full and I was getting 7 or 8 gallons out of the tanks. I was at my sisters cottage so I was just using the black tank at night for urine only and drained into a bucket and dumped into the septic tank. My sister has an RV outlet but the best it was putting out was 114 volts during the day it dropped as low as 97. I was happy I had the power management system as it did cut out many times and saved who knows what. One other thing I noticed is the black piece of metal under my bunk mattress is lifting off the wood on an angle. It is the piece that holds the canvas in place. A question for the forum. Is that happening to any of you? I was told the bunks hold up to 1500lbs. I am about 250 and wife is 135. The kids bunk is fine so I attribute it to my weight. I am still under warranty, is that an issue I should bring to my dealer or do they all do it? All in all I love the unit and everyone who checks it out can't believe how nice it is.
