New Roo

Woo Hoo!
Picked up our new Roo 23SS yesterday afternoon. PDI went well, brought it home no problems......until I opened it up, hit the switch for the slide and yep - you guessed it, didn't move at all. But - because of the great FR forum folks and their wealth of information - I knew right where the fuse was and sure enough - it was blown. Off to the store to grab a 30 amp auto resetting circuit breaker
Kudos to all the regulars on this forum who chime in with their helpful knowledge, Hope to meet some of you next summer at the Rally!

Jim

Congrats on your new 23ss!!
We've had ours for 7 years and still love it.
We've never had the slide fuse blow.

Welcome to the Roo 23ss club! We love ours - heading out this weekend to catch some of this beautiful, comfortable weather we experience on a limited basis down here in Houston. I did have the fuse give out on me two trips ago. It was a snap to replace as I recalled this topic being covered in the forum.

Happy camping!

Welcome to the forum, fellow Roo'ster!

I had the slide fuse blow once...during the PDI. It has worked fine since. I'm guessing that's because I bought so many spare fuses lol.

Thanks Force! ( and everyone else)

During the inspection, the tech was showing us how the slide worked. Worked OK during the PDI, but first attempt at home didn't work. I'm guessing the fuse blew when they slid it in the last time just before they shut it up for the trip home. It's already replaced with the auto reset circuit breaker, been fine so far.

BTW - your mod's on your Roo absolutely rock!

Jim

Is this what I need to replace the fuse myself?

Thanks.

Thanks Jim! I'm about to post a new one re: the Adco cover I just bought.

Edit: see here if you are looking for an RV cover at any point

Sorry - that one will not work. The fuse is a 30A ATC blade type that looks like

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...B-30-RP/image/

Our Roo has an green inline fuse holder just underneath the coach on the left side between the battery box and the electrical junction box. Someone else had a photo of the circuit breaker on the forum and it also had the extra long blades - the short bladed type won't insert far enough into the fuse holder.

Bussman BP/UCB-30-RP was on the label

Thanks - We are going to purchase a cover and was looking at the nicer ADCO as well. Cover looks like it fits really great.
