New Roo owner

Hello everyone. First post here. Wanted to introduce myself.
As my user name clearly states. Im Scott.

Picked up my new to me, however gently used 2014 Roo 233S today.

Was originally looking new the last few weeks, but this one rolled in on trade and luckily I got the first crack at it. Features are almost identical from 14-16 and the price point was unbeatable.

Appears to be meticulously maintained, was traded in as part of an upgrade to a Fifth wheel.

I Traded in a jayco eagle pop up for it. With two kids and two labs, there was just no room. Plus I was tired of the pop up set up/ tear down, as well as the constant loosing mildew battle.

Towing with a 09 Sierra 1500 HD 4x4.
Had a Husky WDH with the built in sway control installed as well as a Primus EBC.

Towed great, no issues what so ever.
Plenty of power. Stopped fine. And tracked straight. Pulled in about 13.5 MPGs over about a 1 and 1/2 hour drive @ around 60 MPH.

Excited to spend the weekend cleaning it up and out, as well as getting all prepped for a fun filled season.

Thanks

-Scott

Welcome Scott, And congrats on the new purchase! I came from a pop up years ago, this is my second hybrid, you will be super happy having all that room and comfort on your camping trips! When is your first trip going to happen? Mine is going to be April 15th.

Enjoy your Roo this summer and welcome to the forum from another Michigander. You're gonna love it coming from a pop-up.

Good to have you here. Congratulations. Wish I could get 13.5 MPG with my Silverardo & 2011 233S. You must be a low lander. We're a bit higher in elevation here.

Fellow Michiganders here too! Congrats on the Roo !! After 7 years in our pop up we were lucky enough to buy a new 233s last April. Had a great camping season last year and cannot wait to get this year started :-)

Congrats on the Roo! I was looking for a few months also, and seriously considering used. We stumbled upon a dealer clearing out 2015's and got a great deal. Nice to find those deals! I'm pulling with an Expedition EL and it does great. But the hills of eastern CT kept the mpg at 7.6 at 65 mph! That part is not so nice. But, at these gas prices I'm not complaining.
