Maybe Thor is the largest but Forest Rivers is following behind. The part that is in the waiting list is not made by Forest Rivers and the same issue could develop with another Maker. At this time of the year many plants are closing for their employees vacations and this is putting a brake in the system. In these big places they prefer to close for a week or 2 instead of replacing with temporary workers. In all the time I camped ( since the early 70's ) I went through 13 trailers some of them very good and others being quite lemons but it is what it is. Trailers are not built with robots but by hands with different peoples on the assembly lines. With my problems that I went through I would not hesitate to buy a third Forest rivers product because I know they will fix my products even after my warranty is over if there is a good dealer to back up and help me if I need services.

Next bank I dealt with I had cash in hand within minutes.
Some just want their extra interest for that 15 days. Its why some stop dealing with them.

Wow that creates a THOR spot Sorry.
But in arguement support of the customer... most companies also produce what is called a stock pile of parts and units before that shop closes?
And if the problem has been almost a year in the making - there is no excuse short of the company going out of business that would be significant enough to warrant the delay. Go to Good Sam Clubs web page and log your complaint

just a thought

New Hampshire Lemon Law does not cover recreational vehicles or motor homes. However, the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act statesthatthemanufacturer of any product ó from your toaster to your lemon RV ó must abide by the warranty.

Unlike the New Hampshire Lemon Law for cars, which requires you to participate in the New Hampshire New Motor Vehicle Arbitration program, you need to sue RV manufacturers and dealers in a court of law. The window of time to initiate a lawsuit is small,so speak to a LemonLawattorney if your RV has been in the shop three times for the same problem. If your case is successful, the manufacturer will have pay for attorneys' fees, so you shouldn't have to pay for representation.

As with other types of Lemon Law claims, organization is key to presenting a convincing case. Keep spotless records of every malfunction and problem you have had with your RV since you bought it. Save all of the paperwork that you received every time you brought your RV to be serviced. Catalog the days the RV spent in the shop and out of your possession. Remember, the more organized your evidence is, the more likely it is that your attorney can win your case.

You forgot to cite your source: New Hampshire RV Lemon Law | RV Lemon Law in NH | NH RV Lemon Law

Just a reminder that misrepresenting someone else's ideas as your own is plagiarism.

Also this case is not governed by New Hampshire Law as the vehicle was not purchased in New Hampshire- it is governed by New York Law.

An excellent reminder (for me as well).

Sometimes a "cut and paste" of an appropriate section of an article is faster and more direct than pasting the link to a larger document that no one will read. I try to remember to also include the source link but occasionally forget when trying to be prompt with a reply.

The "just a thought" at the top seems to support a "cut and paste" that was presented as original, however. While I am certainly not the "Copywrite" police, (and do not want to be; as I freely retread photos and appliance manuals (from members and the web) to fully explain a point or provide help as you all know) posters should at least try to give credit to the source when you lift something in its entirety and post it.

Sorry if u took that as my idea or my words it was not it was a cut and paste. It is a federal. Law called federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. It applys to all States. Some cases have been won others not. Mostly they drag in court for years and then its a fight over who is paying lawyer fees. As I said just a thought. Most cases it is easier and financially better just to take your shots and sell it for what you can get. New Hampshire RV Lemon Law | RV Lemon Law in NH | NH RV Lemon Law . And this is the site. If you were wondering. Pulled new Hampshire from your profile. Sorry if I offended anyone on this site.

I was just making the comment that people need to be aware of what they post if its the only thing they post with no clarification. I just happened to pick up on the wording because I remembered it.

I'm familiar with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act as I mentioned in Post #37 of this thread. You are correct that I am from NH, but as I mentioned in post #5 the dealer is RVD (which is located in Albany, NY) therefore under NY Law.

I wasn't offended or anything- just like to remind people that plagiarism can occur unintentionally. Hope this clears things up.

-The screen door latch and handle came damaged- I had to tighten down the handle assembly and pull out the latch on the frame with a pair of pliers to get the screen door to latch. Should have been done right in the first place.

-Our first camping trip the propane system failed due to a pressure problem from the gas line causing the water heater, upon ignition, to shoot 5' flames out the side of the camper. Should not have had that problem coming new, never mind the safety hazard.

-Sink was leaking, had to crawl under sink and tighten connections. (should have been done right in the first place)

-Shower head was broken had to replace ourselves at our expenditure.

-under carriage drain valves were improperly installed and were leaking. Fixed at the same time as the propane by a 3rd party RV repair specialist. Should have come working in the first place.

And the current issue which we are still attempting to remedy:
-The table we received with our trailer was severely warped in both directions. In addition the feet/leg assembly was over torqued and snapped off first time setting it up. We ordered a new table and finally received it two weeks ago. I open the packages and find that I have a table top and a frame.... No hardware and no instructions are included... I don't recall remember ordering a table kit, I remember ordering a new table to replace the one under warranty... Unacceptable.

Is my trailer a lemon and is the level of service I can continue to expect?
I am curious as to what caused the 5' flame to shoot out of your water heater?? did the unit sit on the lot for a while? may be a mud dobber nest caused this? was the water heater tested/demo'd when you bought it?

Are you sure you didn't get a Salem?

Without the jet afterburner problem you sound a bit like me.
Taking the time to do the job the first time means never having to say your a frig up in the market.
Window moulding became a 60 mile an hour spear, awning clips had no springs in them, door dead bolt died 2nd time locking it.
4 tires (Trail Depress)
Tongue Jack,
TV booster broken
Slide out is wearing through siding at the top left corner.
Rubber chicken looking thing underneath of the rubber roof.
and the list isn't done yet. FR warranty guy won't return several calls from dealer or myself at this point.
Some glad I took out the 2nd year warranty.
