OK this 2000 watt generator can run a AC
https://youtu.be/LV-_7ym8jjA
Looking at 2200 watt from Home Depot. And would be great if it ran my AC.

Looks pretty impressive at first but in his other video, it dies at 27 hours.

2000 running or surge?
It's only around 16.6 amps.
A 2200 watt is roughly 18 amps
13.5k dometic draws 18 amps to start and runs about 12 - 14 amps mine has been clear up to 15 amps in 90 degrees heat and humidity.
Remember you have a converter that runs 24/7 @ 2 - 8 amps.

i've always been able to run my 2007 23SS's Dometic 13.5k a/c, with my Honda 2000. pretty much runs the same as this guy's. can this Hyundai be paralled?
and the specs for this show 65db! YIKES, that's high for a 2000w inverter generator. the Honda starts at 53db.
and the Champion 2000w can be purchased for less money than the Hyundai and it can be paralled.
would like to see what this Hyundai does at elevation though.
and did they rate it at 65db, when on Eco or at full throttle?

I'm gun shy so I'll stick with my 3600 SIE Boliy. Cost lest than 2 Hondas and has battery start. It's DB is only a couple off of the Honda. I even run my 15000 btu AC. Least I'm not going to worry about burning or blowing something up by using under rated products. Later RJD

It would be this one. Be mostly for camping in the fall while hunting in State Forests without hook ups. And a couple times in the summer. So would use the AC a little during the day to cool off. No running generators at night in the State Forest

OK ok, Cabelas will match Home Depots price of $839 for the Champion 3100 inverter, plus they have a bonus 15% more Cabelas points if you use your Cabelas Visa. So I have to figure out what I want . Ugh, tuff to decide

Seen those new electric smokers yesterday while there. Better not press my luck with the wife . Lol
Alright so now Cabelas send me a email with 10% any purchase. They really want me to buy the Champion that would be $755 plus the $128 I would get in Cableas points. Could get the ground blind for Bow hunting.

I have a Bradley electric Smoker. For me ability to take between home, 5er, trottage was important. Works well. Ribs are very good.... yummy....I say go for it! That is an excuse for a generator in itself!

i own a Honda 2000 but if i were in the market for a new genny, the Champion 3100 would be my first choice.
the only negative for me, is that if i got another Honda, i could have the option of taking one or two of them, depending on if i needed a/c. then i would have to only haul the smaller 50lb. single Honda most of the time.
rather than hauling the bigger and heavier 3100 all the time.
that's the beauty of have a paralleled set of 2000w inverter generators.
