Use the AF port to suck the water from the container. Can use this to run the trailer.. Or what I do is put the outside shower hose (nozzle removed) in the FW tank fill and fill the FW tank this way using the pump to suck the water from the container through the AF port.

You can not fill the fresh water tank by using the AF hose unless you have a way of transferring the water from the water lines to the FW tank. On my TT the FW fill is on right side while the outdoor shower is on the opposite side.

If the FW tank has multiple ports and one at the top is plugged/ capped it easy to tee off a cold water line to add a city water fill. Just install a full port ball valve in the new tank fill line and make is accessible from out side near the tank. This way you can either watch it fill or notice water coming out the gravity fill. I can usually hear it just before it starts to pour out the air breather at the gravity fill, so I don't get wet.

Filling the FW tank from the city water hook up is nice in cleaning the tank and filling it.

I have seen some really nasty fresh water filling hoses. I think some get the hoses confused with the washout hoses next to the dump stations. Having the bypass I can fill a hose connection nearby and quickly fill the tank without the ranger thinking I was hook up

OK. One of the things I love about this forum is that when I ask what seems to me to be a simple question - a question only a newbie would ask as the answer is obvious - I get 3-4 pages of creative answers from folks and some considerable dialogue. Clearly these travel trailers are great opportunities (toys) for the creative DIYers out there!

Where is your outside shower? Can the wand reach your fw fill?

OK, so pulling up pics of your camper, the outside shower won't reach. You would need to connect a hose from the outside shower faucet that could reach to your fw fill. Then, "yes it would work".

The other thought, is once your fw tank goes dry, use whatever portable tank you have as your fw tank by using the af line.
