Order status?

It's been great to see all the posts about everyone picking up the new rigs lately. It gives a guy hope that spring really is coming!! Just curious if any one who has placed an order in the middle to end of February has heard anything about the status of the build. We ordered ours 5 weeks ago and haven't heard a thing. I know it's the busy time of year so I don't want to bother the dealer too much but just kicking some tires to see what's been happening! We are sure excited to get the 21ss parked and start loading it up!

Michigan Order

Our order went in second week of February and we have not heard anything. Our sales guy told us to expect it second week of April, but you never know. I will post to this thread if i hear anything.

Last year we ordered in February and didn't receive it until June. This is not the norm and others received theirs much quicker but stories are all over the map on how long it takes.

We ordered our 229TBS on 2/23 and we got a call on Friday that the dealer had it on the the lot. It took about a week after the VIN # was assigned. We are picking it up on 4/8. Very excited!

There is no exact timeframe as it depends on a lot of variables. A lot of it depends on how popular the specific model/floorplan is. They will not do a production run until they have enough of that specific model/floorplan to make it cost effective. 6 to 8 weeks is the canned answer.

Last October we ordered the 23WS and the order was officially entered 10-23, it arrived at the dealer on 12-11 and its build date was 12-2. 5-1/2 weeks until built and at the dealer in 7. When we ultimatly rejected that particular unit the dealer had the rep on the phone at the time and he stated 8 weeks again. That order was placed on 2-25.

The dealer can call Rockwood and they can tell him the exact date that production is scheduled as long as it is scheduled. If they do not have enough orders of a particular model/floorplan it may not be scheduled. Remember Shamrock also comes into play as they will run those at the same time. Mainframes Shamrock 23WS was built 12-1, the Roo 23WS they built for us was built 12-2. As far as I know they have not produced any 23WS models since that time in early December as I have not seen any new ones pop up online anywhere.

The dealer is the only one who can tell you and only if he takes the time to call the rep.

Another factor to consider besides build time is delivery time. Spring is a very busy time for drivers and there are more campers that need delivery than drivers to deliver them. Hope you get some good news soon.

I ordered my IKSS at the Boston show and the dealer put the order in a week or so after the show, I would say that would have been early Feb. The trailer came in 3/26 and should be ready for pick up in about a week. Can't wait!

Great information!!

All the information that has been posted is appreciated. Yeah I was originally told 4-6 weeks but I knew that was too good to be true so I just set my mind to 6-8 weeks up to 10 weeks since it's the busy time of year. No rush though with this crazy Minnesota weather. We got a foot of snow last Tuesday and now tomorrow its supposed to be sunny and 60 out. I hope that when the dealer get the VIN number they relay that information on to us. I hate to bug the dealer since realistically we can't camp right now anyway and they were really good to us putting in the order. I will wait another week or so before I call them. As far as delivery I am very thankful the dealership hires a local company who makes multiple trips a week down by where the campers are made to pick them up on the way back. So that should help and not delay it any longer. Thanks again for the replies back!!

If I was you I'd call the dealer. They built 21SS's on 3-15. Yours may be done.

That is great to see that! I will be following up with them on the lunch hour today. I was wondering if they had just completed a run of them I have noticed a few of the 2017's popping up online for sale at dealerships. Thanks for your help!

I have the same question it's going on 6 week sense we ordered are 233s and when I called the dealer to see if he had a built date or any info on the status of the camper he sed he had nun. Is this the norm or should I demand a delivery date?

It's the norm. Demanding something they don't have will simply leave you frustrated. 6 weeks is considered early give at least 8 weeks. Not to mention this is when everybody orders new units so getting in 6 weeks would be a gift

It's a tough wait. Even when you know you can't be using it you still want it. Before we ordered ours I thought this wont be so bad I don't know why people are getting anxious about when their campers will be delivered. Well I am officially that guy anxiously waiting. Checking my email for updates and wondering when I will get that call. But in the end it will be worth it. Glad I am not the only guy in this boat haha

Yep you all are ordering at the peak time of the year.
Personally I would never order a trailer this time of the year.
The factories are all working overtime to get the glut of orders done and production quality goes down.

If I did order one, it would be after summer, when things are slower and they have more time to build them

Well I guess that is a risk we are all willing to take when we place the orders right now. Guess that's why we have a warranty.

Bugging your dealer won't bring it any faster.
