our maiden voyage

Going to Holiday World. Camping at Lake Rudolph tomorrow night. Full hook-ups. I have two young kids that are really looking forward to it.

I don't have kitchen stuff yet, keeping the menu simple for a one nighter. Hot dogs and chips for dinner, donuts for breakfast. Plenty of cold beer.

This is only about an hour from my house.

Post how the weekend went and what you think of the campground. It's on the list of places we want to go but it's 3 1/2 hrs away and we wouldn't want to do it on a regular weekend. We have 3 small grandkids who I know would really like the park. And congratulations on the new camper. What did you get?

I got a Roo 17 (2008).

I have camped there before, tent camping. It was a very nice campground as far as tents were concerned. But this was about 4 years ago. I will post a report once I get there tomorrow night.

It's been a long week at work. I am betting there might be some bourbon on the menu to follow beers.

Well the weekend went great. The campground is awesome. There is a huge pool in the campground that we did not use since we had tickets to the park. Tons of activities for the kids. Lots of older, tall trees for shade. Def rent a golf cart when you get your campsite. We already made reservations again for Oct during the halloween party. My daughter has a softball tourney that weekend in Santa Claus.
