Outdoor stove for hybrid gas grill quick connect propane
Does anyone know if this stove will work with the existing Roo/Shamrock gas line that comes out of the trailer if I purchase the correct connection hose for the stove? In other words, does the propane pressure that comes from the hybrid quick connect work on this grill? Amazon.com: Camp Chef Explorer Series EX-60LW 2-Burner Modular Cooking System, Black: Automotive

It should as long as you don't use the regulator shown on the tank in the picture.

from what i've read, the Camp Chef is low pressure and will work with the quick connect pigtail.
you may have to purchase an adapter to connect it to the Camp Chef.

Yep, your quick connect on RV is "Low" pressure. So any appliance you connect to it must NOT have an LP regulator on it.

Do some thorough research before making the purchase. I bought a small stove hoping to do the same. I removed the regulator and got the right fittings but it still didn't have enough pressure to work properly.

Looks like it will work. I just modified a Weber go anywhere using this
MAGMA Control Valve - Type 3 Low Output
Model # 10258739 | Mfg # A10-220CE
and the proper lo pressure hose and fitting (Type 250) and misc adapters. I I had it to do over I would just buy one all set up.

I modified my Coleman stove to a quick connect setup w the motorhome by removing their regulator, ordering the quick connect fittings on Amazon and a trip to Lowe's to pick up a few brass connectors to make it work. No more little green bottles or 10lb grill tanks. Works great. There are also some you tube videos out there to give you an idea of how to make it.

The Camp Chef is already low pressure, like the grill.
So all the OP has to do is get a QD male end to plug into the pigtail line.
It may come with one.

Camp Chef makes a quick connect hose for this. Just have to remove the hose & regulator that comes with the stove & put on the quick connect pigtail hose. Saw a bunch of them at a dealer yesterday.

Does anyone have a 2 way adapter to use grill and camp chef at the same time? I plan on cooking thanksgiving outside and would like to use both to cook the meal. Will need both burners and grill to keep other thing warm. Turkey will be in the electric turkey cooker.

My dealer told me that the grill connection is high pressure, not low. He was going to run the line for me but I told him not to. My old grill had its own regulator.
I use a 20 pound bottle as in the photo. I also have a tree so I can run a lantern or my Colman 2 burner stove, or all 3 at once if I chose. I find this better for me. It is easy to get another 20 pound bottle saving my main bottles for indoor cooking, hot water or heat.

We just bought that exact configuration, stove and extra hose. Took off the regulator that came with the stove and stored it away. Connected the quick connect hose to the connector on the trailer and fired up the stove. It works great. Very happy with this solution so far.

They work great on a low pressure system, we have the 3 burner Explorer. The only issue, which is not really an issue is the burners are 30K BTU each, and the low pressure system has a limited amount of input BTU. When you light off the 2nd or 3rd burner the heat output of the other burner/burners your already using will drop. What that means is it takes some practice to get good at say keeping a griddle at a consistent temperature and your 2 gallon coffee pot may take 4 minutes to perc instead of 3. The only real issue I have found with the Campchef Explorer stove is "wind" related. They tend to blow out easy. Especially when setting them to low. The more expensive model, the Expedition, appears to have better wind screening in the design.

It sounds like the regulator on the trailer can't handle the gas flow needed. This is why my mechanic said he would have run a high pressure line. Then you would just use the regulator designed to be on your stove.
There are some advantages to using a 20 pound bottle.

Yes.............. but The 30K BTU burners are overkill to begin with. These things boil water in minutes even when starved for gas.

I believe that. I just mentioned it because some may not realize that there are limits. Using a tree on a 20 pound bottle I can run both 20000 btu burners on my Colman stove and a Colman 2 mantle lantern with no problems. If I turn the grill on everything dims. The regulator can't handle that much flow.

ORIGINAL POST UPDATE:
I purchased the Camp Chef as shown in addition to an 8 foot quick connect hose without a regulator to attach the stove to my Roo quick connect gas line that comes out the side of the camper. It works like a champ with no issues. The gas regulator that is installed on the Roo's two propane tanks works perfectly to schedule the correct propane pressure to the stove. I highly recommend this setup for anyone who wants an outdoor burner stove that utilizes the existing propane line that runs out the side of the Roo.
