I would just replace them with telescoping mirrors. That's what I did.

I ordered these from Amazon. Fairly simple to attach and hardly any vibrations. Most reviewers thought so as well.

Safe and happy travels.

I don't have the CIPA's but I do have (can't recall the brand right now) some that are custom made for the Ram 1500 that are slip-overs just like the CIPA's and I am extremely happy with them. Inxexpensive, rock solid and easy to mount/dismount. I keep my Ram mirrors normally adjusted out to cover blind spots. It's nice having this second mirror pointed more to the rear and leave my Ram mirrors where they normally reside.

Highly recommended.

I'd go with the moose antlers!

Had them on the last two Ram's I've owned and they work well.

I have these on my 2016 RAM 1500 and they work well...........not as well as the factory tow mirrors but much less costly.

K source snap and zap was our choice. Love the fit and look but still a hair shy of long enough for the passenger side IMHO

Bought CIPAs for our Tundra, Don't use them. Will get towing mirrors mounted in lieu of the factory mirrors.

We don't use the CIPAs because we can never remember how to mount them and because they are small enough and far enough out that by the time the eye refocuses from the main mirror outward to the CIPA we've spent too much time away from the road in front of us. Probably a practice thing as much as it is an older eyes thing.

I bought oem style for my Expedition. Check out the options from this site. They have tow mirrors made for just about any vehicle that match the oem style. For example, my Expi mirrors match the F150. https://www.1aauto.com/2013-16-ram-m...8aAlAsEALw_wcB

Had to use the CIPA on my 2003 F-150 Lariat Crewcab as there was no factory replacement available. They worked great, still a little short, but ok. One got broke at a CG and I kept it, bought a new one and used the arms from the broken one to make extensions that I mounted on the new one and it gave me the clear view all the way down the side of trailer I was wanting. My GMC 2500 has the factory mirrors...how I love those telescoping factory mirrors.

Another vote for CIPAs, unless you already have factory extension mirrors.

Yes! I have Dumbo ears on my Expedition, but it's nice to see behind you!

I also have a Ram 1500. When I bought my Roo, I purchased the towing mirrors that slip over my existing mirrors. While they fit and looked good, I just wasn't comfortable passing or backing in using the passenger side mirror. I finally decided to get towing mirrors for my ram that fold up for towing and down for every day driving. Best thing I ever did. Visibility is great and my confidence/comfort level is very high. Every time we go camping , I tell my wife "God I love these mirrors". Expensive, yes. Worth every dime. Do it once and never worry about it again.
