Oxygenics On/Off Switch

Ok so replaced shower with Oxygenics but the water stop switch does not completely stop the water it still leaks from the shower head? Anyone have this happen and know how to fix it?

The on/off switch is doing that so you get a constant temperature when you turn the water back on. This is normal and is desribed in your instructions.
Do a search above and you will see 100 threads on it.

Yes. It's not actually a shut off switch. It's a flow regulator and is designed to minimize water usage while lathering, but maintains a small flow to help maintain water temperature. It helps prevent getting momentarily scalded or get hit with freezing water when you turn the flow back on.

A lot of folks will pick up a full shut off valve from the local hardware store and install it either between the shower head and hose, or at the hose inlet at the fixture.

I added a shut off valve on mine when I installed the Oxygenics earlier this year but I found you get a blast of cold water when you open the valve. Apparently, that's what the flow limiter prevents. I'll probably take the valve off and put the flow limiter on.

Installing a Total S/O valve in a RV or Home and having it perform without the (Blast of Cold or Hot Water) is very dependent on How the system is installed! Location of Water heater to point of usage is Very critical! Not all RVs are plumbed the Same, therefore a S/O valve might NOT give the Same results for all! Ours works fine in our unit. Youroo!!

If you decide to install your own shut off valve at the fixture, you should loosen the fixture itself, rotate it a few degrees from level (as pictured above), then tighten it back down to get the best results.

I believe the slow dripping is to prevent scald and is required by code (or maybe just law suits?) We installed hand held Oxygenics shower head a few years ago and also installed cut off valve so I can completely cut off water while lathering up. I just point the shower head away from me when cutting it (Southern term) back on. Within a few seconds, the water is at the desired temp and I'm good to go.

BTW, I measured the actual flow in my stock shower head in TT at 1.67 gallons per minute (gpm.) Replaced it with the Oxygenics and it was 1.15 gpm, a 31% reduction. Oxygenics provides a more invigorating shower.

Yes read the instructions after installing and posting here, seems like a better shower head but tonight will be the test to see how well it works, want to get some caulk under the head holder to prevent water from going in one of the original holes but so far looks good and has a nice blast of H2O

The oxygen ice on off is designed to not shut off 100% to keep your hot shower hot. I found this out after posting the same concern on another website (Facebook).
