Greetings OldCoot, Just wondering, You have made references in other threads that you and the DW may consider ending the camping. Is this still a consideration for you?

There is the Mohegan Sun Casino, however. They allow you to stay in their lot and will send a shuttle to carry you to the casino and restaurants.
Heres our campsite.

CBs, Wal-Marts and the like can be more convenient for layovers. On the way home (from Watkins Glen) Gettysburg was half way. Plenty of CGs close to Rt. 15 there so we chose a camp nearby.
It's not about saving money for us. It's location, location, location.
Man, you were right in my backyard! I use Mohegan whenever I feel the need to lose $50 playing blackjack.

They have a pretty good lunch and dinner buffet, too.
That Petro also has a dump station...I think it's $10 to use it, or free if you buy X gallons of fuel.

As for the Walmart question--we have 2 Supercenters right off I-81. The one in WB Township and the one in Pittston, near the airport. WB township has a "no overnight parking" ordinance, but you still see motor homes and campers parked there all the time. Pittston doesn't have the overnight parking ordinance, but that Walmart has those overhead bars at all the lot entrances, like they're trying to keep campers out. So go figure???
