Part I'm not sure what it is

This was a part that came with our trailer. Does anyone know what it's for?

Tub/shower plug. My son accidentally kicked ours. The pin part fell in the drain and I had to remove the 'P' trap to get it out. I left the plug off. Don't need it. I will get a rubber one if I feel the need for one.

Thanks everyone. Mystery solved with your help. It is the shower plug. The sink had a plug already in it. My question is this. Why would you want to plug your shower drain? The shower tub would fill up and water spill all over the floor? I guess if you had a young child you could fill it up with a couple of inches of water and have a small tub to wash the baby. Am I missing something here?
