Picked up our 2014 23ikss yesterday

And absolutely love it! Was very impressed with our service tech, he went thru the entire unit very thoroughly before we arrived, everything functioned as Is intended. Happy I was able to hook up at home and test everything again with no issues.

One major disappointment is forest river omitted the drawers next to the cooktop......one thing we were looking forward to after coming from a pop up with no drawers!! They also eliminated the outside door that backed up to the kitchen cabinet. Our dealer is working with forest river on replacing the cabinet front and putting drawers back in. Apparently they switched to a new cooktop/ oven that's larger so they put 2 large roll outs behind doors instead.

On the positive, came with led awning lights, led lights thru out in fact, slide out topper, new cook top and outside grill have igniters built in and one of the 2 create a breeze fans came with a Marx air cover. Not sure why one and not the other!?

As I have readin other threads, the outside speakers are very quiet....have to turn off the inside speakers to hear outside and not blow out our eardrums!

Loading it now to leave on a week long trip tomorrow!

Congrats. I love the IKSS, but also love my 233s. I can not figure out for the life of me why the outside speakers are so quiet. It is perplexing, I guess they are just bad quality.

Someone in another thread said his outside speakers wires were switched. When he switched them back, they were louder.

YEAH!!! Glad to hear that you picked it up - congratulations! They truly must have JUST made that switch in the kitchen as ours came in the older configuration. I hope that you will get it worked out soon. Enjoy your trip and please let me know how the campground was!

To be honest....getting used to the drawers already! They work well for pots and pans and we typically always use plastic silverware so not like we are in and out alot. First day at the campground has been great.....and we weren't phased by the thunderstorm as we would have been in our old pop up!

Can you post some pics of the "new" layout, I'm interested is the changes and will help me decide between new and used/old stock when buying.

Congratulations. We love the awning LED lights. Some consider them too bright, but we think they are cool, and we get a lot of positive comments about them from others at the campgrounds.

Our outside speakers are just like yours, but it keeps us from accidentally blowing out our neighbors when we switch from inside to outside.

Looks just like ours... Except ours has drawers next to the oven. Looks like yours has cupboard doors?

Yes, with 2 large drawers inside. Actually becoming fond of the large drawers but I'm sure would have loved the regular drawers if we had them!

Wife and I camping without kids this weekend.....feels like a house for the 2 of us!

Awesome thank you.

I like the look of it and think it will be just fine either way.

Man that looks huge inside, be sure to post a weight if you get a chance to hit the scales, were car shopping and the one we want it going to be close.

I have 6000lbs to play with and keeps me under the GCWR so I may have to just go on the light side when traveling.

It is huge inside! Even with 5 kids there's plenty of room to move about with ease.....and tons of storage for everyone's stuff. Find set up and take down so easy after 2 trips in it we are scheduling trips for the next 4 weekends in a row. After constantly looking for ways to improve our pop up I can say I haven't found anything I would want to change in this one!

It's labeled at 5122 lbs dry. I would guess we are around 6k loaded but well under the weight for our vehicles so not sure I would ever get weighed. Not sure what vehicles you are looking at but I would say anything less then the towing capabilities of our vehicles would labor pretty hard going over any mountains or hills.
