Great job. We pick our Roo up in July, can't wait. What gas mileage do you get with the Tundra?

Very cool TT.... Does that thing have 3 queen beds in it? I dont have much knowledge on the Roo, but I have always liked the hybrids.

That's good to hear, we only got 7 at that speed with our previous rig and could get 9 if we crawled at 50.

I try not to accelerate to fast and loose a little speed going up over-passes but for me the MPG makes it worth it. I guess I baby the Tundra. I know it could haul the Roo down the highway flying but our MPG would go with it.
You will love your Roo. Worth the wait!!!

Great job on your pugs! I also used emergency blankets as pugs for our Roo, but have just used medium sized clips to hold it along the seam area. Just used one each across the tops of the bunks. Was it easy to sew the blankets together? And what are you using as the strapping across the top and down the sides?

Across the top I sewed 1 1/2 inch nylon strap to the cover. I sewed the strap on each side. On the ends I looped the strap under which is where I run the bungee through. On the front I placed the bungee in the center of the strap and folded the strap over. I then sewed the folder over ends to the cover which allows me to pull the cover taunt. To make it easier I think a 2 or 3 inch nylon strap for the front would work better.
It was actually easier than I thought. The hardest part is pushing all the material threw the sewing machine.

It looks great and seems very functional! I may have to get my sister to help me sew some strapping on mine. I assume you sewed two blankets together to make the bigger size as well?

Yes. The front required some extra in the front to get it to come all the way to the end of the front bed and down some.
The sides I took another blanket and cut it half and sewed it to the top.
So basically each bed takes 2 blankets and if you want the front top to be completely covered you will need to a third blanket to cut.
Like I said. Not sure it's cheaper but it does what I want.
If you need close up pics I can get some. Also I can send you links for all the supplies if needed.

Wow! What a beautiful camper. Thanks for the ideas on the homemade PUGS - it's next on my mod list.
We were at Tomoka with our 233S over New Years with friends. So much fun! They had a bluegrass band in the rec hall with a lady teaching line dances on New Year's Eve. Our kids had a blast - we want to go back again next year, same time!

castlemusic:
I was just looking at your "handle." Many years ago (25-30) we saw a family group singing in the center court of our local mall. They called themselves The Castle Family.
Any relation?

How come the awning doesn't look fully extended? Love the camp site!

We extend it to the point where the short front flap that hangs is facing the ground or parallel w/ the camper. The owners manual said not to over extend the awning beyond that point.
