Plug

Just noticed on the new 30amp plug that came with our shamrock, that it has two lights on it one is blue which means good to go and red means there is a problem. Is this some form of protection or just a heads up?

Plug

Also, try to keep the plug from getting wet. If it does, the lights may stop working. Happened to us and Furrion sent out a new cord. Most likely to happen when using an extension cord.

Maybe a dab or two of caulk over the lights?

Can I use an extension cord in the driveway to save wear and tear on the cord at home?

I use this to plug in a 15 amp extension cord and keeps me from having to pull out the 30 amp cord.

Or maybe I can plug in in under the camper, and run the extension cord from there. It doesn't look like there is an adapter to go into the side of the camper, instead of the cord.

If you keep it plugged in at home, have you considered installing a 120v / 30amp exterior outlet outside your house? We had one put in this spring and now we can run everything in the camper including the A/C just as if we were at a campground.

The electrician is so expensive! I already have a long list of electrical repairs for my house that I am picking through.

When I went through it, it was very hard to get a hold of them. Don't bother with the contact # / email addresses on the Furrion website. Just call 574-333-2088 and you will get a live person.
