Yes.
Do a search for anode rod. I assume that is to what you are referring when you say plug.

Here's the Camping World one. Pic of new and used (what your's probably looks like).

Suburban Anode Rod Replacement - Suburban 232767 - Water Heaters - Camping World

Mine's starting to look like the one in the pic after 3 seasons.

Yes, and recommended. CW (and other places) sell a water heater rinse out tool. It's a long skinny nozzle that will fit through the plug hole in the water heater and does a jam up job rinsing the thing out.

About $7 if I remember correctly.

Thank you everyone! Yes mine looks like the picture you posted rockfordroo. I think I will try and get to CW on Monday to replace the anode rod. I'm not sure the brand name of my heater but I will bring the rod and hopefully they should be able to tell me which one I need.

Don't forget that plug (on mine) takes a 1 1/16" scoket.

That is after 6 years of use, and should be good for a bunch more years. They do not need to be replaced unless they are more than about 75% deteriorated. Mine is probably only about 25% gone.

Keiiieh04, to clean out the (Crud/Junk) inside the W/Heater, go to any place that sells (Washers/Dryers) and ask them for a (OLD) washer supply hose, they replace them with NEW when installing! Cut the hose in 1/2 and Now you have a (Water Heater Cleaning Hose) (FREE) just screw on a garden hose and place in the (A/Rod-Plug hole) and watch the (Crud/White Crap) come out of your Heater! Youroo!!

Here is a chart to give you some idea of when to change it and some ideas on how to flush out the gunk.

REMEMBER to ALWAYS close the bypass valves when removing the anode and flushing to avoid that gunk from getting swept into your cold water pipe.
