Poor water pressure

We camped for the first time since we got our Roo using city water. The water pressure was so low I couldn't get any suds for doing the dishes. I suppose I could have tried removing the regulator, but wasn't sure that would be a good idea. Has anyone added any sort of mod to improve the kitchen sink pressure? Any other ideas to help do dishes?

If you have one of the cheap ($20.00 +/-) "water regulators"purchased at your dealer, take it off. It is nothing more than a cheap flow restrictor. Throw it away and either don't use a pressure regulator or buy a real one made by Watts or Zurn regulator.

I tried unscrewing the connection to the faucet tip this weekend and it wouldn't budge. I was afraid to break it. I'll try again with a proper crescent wrench. I'll also see how the pressure is with no regulator.

How is the water pressure everywhere else in the camper? Bathroom sink? Shower?

If you go outside and disconnect the city water connection and then open the water valve on the camps water source, how does the pressure seem? Another thing to try would be to put some water in your fresh water tank and then turn on your water pump. How is the pressure then?

I'm going to check this all out tonight. We only camped the one night and didn't shower. Last time we camped with a full tank the pressure was better, but not great.

Almost always your issue is from construction debris in the faucet aerators, with a new rig.

Being a new rig it is more than likely debris in the lines and hopefully it is at the aerator and not at some elbow / joint.

Also it may be possible that there is a piece of flexible hose used some where and the factory installers do not take precautions to prevent kinks...so look for that as well.

I have a kink in my black tank flush line that I have to fix...thanks for reminding me

I got the aerator removed from the kitchen sink faucet. There was some debris and 4 (yes 4) different screens plus a plastic doohickey that might be a restrictor. I removed the restrictor plus one of the screens and cleaned the others. I'll try it this weekend when we go camping. I kept the restrictor and the screen just in case i f*cked up things removing them.
