Pop out door

Has anyone tried or seen anyone put some kind of door on the entrance to the back pop out of a shamrock ikss? We have a toddler and I would like to be able to shut her in at night so that we can utilize the rest of the camper when she’s sleeping.

Baby gate? Would not do much for noise, but would keep her in.

Yes that was my first thought but like you said it won’t do much for noise. But my main concern is keeping her in and light and noise out.

I'm curious why you see the need to physically lock up your child for the night. Do you lock her in a room at home?

How much noise are you making? Tired children can sleep thru anything.

The floor plan can easily accommodate a curtain across that "hallway" and block much light but this is a hybrid and the back bed is surrounded by tentage on 3 sides so outside noise and light are present.

Been camping many times with grand children and never had a problem......When they're tired, they sleep, and noise or light never affected them. Close the curtain !

If you're worried about her getting up and wandering around if you might be outside or asleep, then a baby gate would work well enough. Add a dark curtain if the light is an issue. I'd worry otherwise that if they can't hear me, I also cannot hear them if they wake up crying. If you really want to put in a solid door then please also consider a baby monitor.

I don’t want to lock her in and yes we shut her door at our house. I’m afraid a baby gate will not work that she would just climb over it.

Thank you for your reply and yes we already have a baby monitor in there. I was just curious if anyone had put a door back there. But I will just give the gate and a blackout curtain a shot and see how it works.

Tall gate maybe with vertical bars? They have nothing to climb on!

We used a piece of paneling and just slid it between the small cabinet and the bathroom wall, you can cut it as high as needed.
