Power tongue jack problem

I have a power tongue jack that keeps blowing the little white fuse (thank goodness I bought 50 of them). it does it randomly. the first time it did it it was raised and I accidently bumped it on thr side when lowering it but now it does it randomly. should I take it back under warranty and get a new one or ideas of what it could be?

That sounds like an internal short of some kind. Factory jack should be rated at far more than enough for your tongue weight, so I wouldn't think it's being overloaded. Check the hot lead coming off of it to the battery and make sure it's not loose or pinched somewhere. If it's not, I'd have it replaced since it's new. Wait until they have one in stock then make an appointment so they don't have your trailer for weeks waiting on parts.

You should also lubricate it as per instruction and then try it for a while. If it still doing same, then check with dealer for warranty replacement.

Don't know, it is just a suggestion, that's what I would do.

It says every six months on your jack.

stopped by the dealer this weekend and mentioned the issue. he said they just sent a dozen of those exact ones back to manufacturer for that very same reason. they gave me a nicer jack and just made me pay the difference and I.brought it home and installed it. works great
