Question about powered roof vents

Have yet to take delivery on our 21SS, and I'm full of questions. Next question is about the two powered roof vents, the one in the bathroom and the one up front. Are either of them fantastic fans? I've heard good things about them. But I don't know if these are standard or options. But I didn't see anything listed on our options page about upgraded fans. Also, do either of these have vent covers? I see a picture on my dealer's website for a 21SS that is on order that shows what I believe are roof vent covers. I've attached the picture of this. Just don't know if these are an upgrade or standard.

Well the trailer in your foto has covered vents which are great!
Now we can only guess if YOUR rig will come with them.
My experience has been I had to add the vent covers on every trailer I've owned
but maybe you should just call your dealer and ask them?

I totally understand your excitement!
Happy Trails!!

I too would say the vent covers would be an after purchase option and not come from the factory. Maybe the dealer is going to install them for you. That would be nice.

In regards to your question. I would think the dealer would be able to provide you with a basic build sheet which lists the standard equipment and options for your unit. You only run into problems when they begin to change into new model years. During that time they make slight changes to things they install.

Vin.

As per the forestriver web page "Create-A-Breeze Three Speed Fantastic Fan with Vent Cover" is a standard option.

Ah, thanks I missed that on the FP site about the 3 speed FF with vent cover being standard. So is that in the bathroom or in the living space? So it sounds like at the most I'll only have to purchase one cover. Actually, I have a friend with a spare cover who will give me his in trade for a bottle of Buffalo Trace whiskey

I took delivery of a 2014 model Shamrock 21DK last summer. It was ordered by the dealer on spec, with a standard package of options. Both fans are Fantastic Fans, with covers.

When you get it, consider putting the bathroom fan and light on separate switches. It's cheap and easy. Just take the inside shroud off the fan and use the wires themselves to fish new wires down to the new dual switch. I've seen some reports describing it as being one of their harder mods. It was quite the opposite for me. You have to cut a couple of wires but it's easy to reconnect them with twist-on or crimp-on connectors.

Great idea, I'll definitely check into this. I've read advice to not have the fan on when you flush. Can't imagine being there in the middle of the night in the pitch dark flushing the loo.

Under standard features :

Extra create a breeze vent fan with cover. But as disclaimer says and FR confirmed to me: Specifications may change at any time. I suggest asking dealer to confirm per your vin # . Specs and all photos showed a roof vent in bedroom on mine, yet when I looked at it on dealers lot there was none. Per FR rep. That item was removed mid year.
