Question for you fine folks - it is time to get the Roo back in shape.

I picked the Roo up from the dealer where they replaced the front bunk door. I'm not totally satisfied with the job as the door was not installed evenly. Matter of fact, some of the seal sticks out slightly on the passenger side/vertical seal.

I don't know if that is going to cause me problems with water intrusion - I hope not, but I'll keep my eye on things.

Also, the dealer didn't use any silicone on the attached bunk end corners, so I need to get something on that. What do you recommend I use? I'm not smart with this type of thing, so please pardon my ignorance!

This leads me to the seal/caulk/silicone question/poll - what do you use?

Seal protectant - Bikendan suggested Aerospace 303. I've got that in my Amazon cart ready to order.

What do you use for caulk both outside and inside - Dap Dicor Lap Sealant?

What do you use for the roof - Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant?

Hybrid clear silicone on the external bed corners - what to use?

Thanks for your help forum. I appreciate it!!!

What else might I be missing?

Start off by going back to the dealer and pointing out the shoddy work they did!

Go inside at night with a bright light. Have someone look from outside to see if light is visible around the seal.
I can't talk anymore, I'm jealous that I can see green grass in the pictures! Another -20c day here today and more snow piled up from yesterday!

Ha - I hate to tell you, but we don't have a cloud in the sky - 68 degrees today. We are headed off to do some camping this weekend - but it is supposed to rain on Saturday - 50% chance at least.

I'll then take the time to wash the Roo up and get it ready for the long camping season.

By the way, when we hit the triple digits down here, I'll check in with you to see how your weather is treating you!

Thanks for the tip on the light - we will give that a shot this evening. If you can see light, you can bet that water can flow right in. It isn't off by much at all, but again, I like things to line up perfectly. I'm weird like that.

Here are my answers to some of your questions...

What do you use for caulk both outside and inside - Dap Dicor Lap Sealant?
A= Lap sealant only for the roof and vertical outside surfaces. There is self-leveling for the roof.

What do you use for the roof - Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant?
A= See above

Hybrid clear silicone on the external bed corners - what to use?
A= Only use silicone in places where you will never need to use the Dicor. I'm on my phone so can't really see your pictures, but hope that helps.
