$15K in May 2012 for a new 2012. Included a 2" receiver welded to the rear of the frame. Equalizer hitch was extra.

18,500

$18,500 seems to be the best shopped around price.
Is this still too high? Should i accept or keep shopping around and haggling?

I saw that on your profile, but that shows the effect of shipping on the final cost. Wana is about 10 miles from the plant where Roos are made. If you pick up in the Midwest, you save the transportation cost.

You're going to go camping anyway. Go pick it up and just think of it as a one-way camping trip.

Update: RV Wholesalers is in Lakeview, OH, which is a LITTLE bit closer.

You need to give Mitch at RVWholesalers a call and get a price. My understanding is that with Wana RV, you'll have to pay Indiana tax and then tax again when you register back home. I'm on my 3rd RVW rig and have always found them to have great prices and great customer service. I've always been taken care of on warranty issues and highly recommend them.

Wow, I thought we were taking a long trip at 1000 miles. We made it into a vacation and saw some new scenery. What we saved easily covered the vacation expenses and left us with a couple thousand or better in our pocket to boot.

Yep, had to put 500 miles on the new truck, for break-in period and made the return trip into a camping trip.

But really glad I was able to find our new TT locally, at Midwest prices. 30 minutes away.

That's a fair price for a new 19' Roo. You can also consider getting an excellent used 19' 2 to 4 years old at nearly half the price. We just traded in our 2013, excellent condition with some nice upgrades, they're going to sell it for $9000-$10,000
At this point you have to ask yourself how much more are you really going to save. I'd work on getting some upgrades like having them install two deep cycle 6 V batteries or try to work in some other good upgrades.
Good luck and enjoy!

This! I bought my 23SS used and saved quite a bit for a 2 year old.

Several of my friends bought new, and after getting to the best price they could, were able to get the dealer to throw in a few extras to close the deal. MaxAir vent covers and Slide out topper were two of the extras.

Is this your first camper or are you trading up?

Greetings from Chelmsford, MA btw!

I HIGHLY recommend you do NOT go back and look at their website to see what they list yours for unless you want your bubble burst. I've had a LOT of my local dealers feed me a line about what they'd list mine for and swear up and down they could only get X dollars for mine. Never mind that they would have older and less nice rigs on the lot for more money while they're telling me this! I know different parts of the country vary- but I can buy a new rig from RVW for similar money to 2 year old used rigs here. Figure in the higher interest and no warranty and I have to go back ~5 years old to save any real money. And at that point, I'm probably only saving enough to cover a new set of tires and one major component failure- which wouldn't be unheard of in the next 5 years on a 5 year old rig. I think that in my area dealers are constantly scouring Craigslist and are snagging anything that is a good deal, which also contributes to the inflated used market.

Traded my 2012 in 2015 for $10k. Resold within 5 weeks. They were asking $12.5k, probably got $12k.

No different than cars. Just traded a 2011 Traverse 2LT for a similar 2017 model for $12,400. They had $15k on it and it was gone in a week.

You have to be careful with what you THINK you are getting on trade as well. For example, I've known people that think they got a great trade in on their car, but the paid several thousand MORE for the new on than they should have. Trade diff is all that ultimately matters to the consumer, but if you're trying to figure out how much the dealer is making off of you on your trade it becomes more complicated. That's why I never introduce a trade until I've negotiated a price to the rock bottom. Then I'll ask them to value my vehicle. That's when you figure out how much they really intend to make off of you. An experience with a local RV dealer several years back(these figures are approximate as they are coming from memory)- negotiated price to as low as they would possibly go- somewhere around $26K. Got prices at a couple other dealers that were similar after haggling. Got a trade value. Tried to give me like $12K for a trailer I knew they'd price at $17K+. Walked. Got a much better optioned trailer (Dual A/C with 50A, molded fiberglass front cap, solid surface counters and lots of other goodies) for a few thousand less at RVW. Sold my rig via Craigslist and came out over $4K ahead there. Even after accounting for tax savings I came out over $6K ahead. Original price on trailer local was around $30K. If I had agreed to $28K, they would have offered $14K for my trade making me feel as though I did well on my trade, when, in fact, I really hadn't- I'd have just overpaid for my new rig.

MSRP minus at least 30% with Equalizer hitch. Find dealers within (at least) 4.5 hours and get quotes, no quote over the phone or email don't bother with them. Watch out for the warranty gimmick.

I don't know where in Mass you live...I am in Western Mass. There is a dealer in Whately, (between Northampton and Greenfield) called Orchard Trailer. Bought my 2015 19' Roo there for about $18K two years ago. Traded it in in December and bought a 2017 23ikss. Got the price to $25K on the new one, they only gave me book on the trade.

However, it's a nice dealership, lots of inventory to choose from, and I feel comfortable buying there. I know it might start a big debate, but these guys are trying to make a living too! I shopped online for the new one, and got a few quotes. The nearest was in Pennsylvania. Both of the quotes I got offered book value for my trade. Would've had to take a week off from work to drive out west to get one. I brought the quotes to Orchard when they got the trailer in. I told them I would rather support my local dealer (where I would have any warranty work done) and after a little discussion they matched the price.

Rockwood offers a second year warranty for $150. The form is on their site, I filled it out and send it in with a check and got confirmation cack within a few weeks.
