Rear storage compartment won't unlock
My rear storage compartment has always been a little tough to unlock with the key. For whatever reason, all my compartments have been oriented for the key to go in with teeth down, but the rear is with teeth up. Last night when I was unloading and cleaning stuff out, the key wouldn't turn the lock at all. Any suggestions for how to get in there?

hardware store, get some spray graphite lock lube or maybe silicon spray... if you get it open then order another lock... easy to install and can be found on amazon

Thanks for the response. I'll have to run to the store tomorrow and see how it turns out.

on further thought, if you suspect corrosion in the lock is preventing it from turning, maybe some PB Blaster or other brand of rust/corrosion penetration spray first before the graphite... graphite will make the lock smoother, but if it is corroded the PB Blaster might be better applied first, then left for 15 minutes before trying to turn it... if it does not turn yet, apply more spray and with key in the lock tap the end of the key straight on with the end of a long screw driver or small hammer to try and work the corrosion loose before trying to turn it again... be careful not to twist the key off in the lock... so not too much twisting pressure.. I believe the corrosion will finally give up and allow you to twist the key
good luck

I'm not sure it's corrosion. Like I said, it's always been a little difficult to unlock. Actually, now that I think of it, it's always been a bit of a pain to lock as well, leading me to believe that something just isn't lined up correctly. I'll fiddle with it a bit more and if I can't get it, try the recommendations you made. Thanks.

the locking post on the inside end of the lock may be not adjusted well,,, try pushing on the door while turning the key to relieve any stress on the latch part OR maybe pull on it a bit...

Could be since it always was trouble opening that the part on the back of the latch that actually latches the door is to tight. May have to take it off and slightly bend it so it is a little looser. Is it possible now that it won't open that something may have fallen against it? Is there any way to access the lock from the inside, if so maybe you could try turning the lock with the key while someone helps it along inside.

Mine does that on occasion. I put a little pressure on the door, next to the lock with my hand or fingers and that usually is enough to take pressure off the lock and it opens.

Thanks all. I was able to get it open with quite a bit of pressure on the door as I turned the key last night! In my numerous attempts, I put some pressure and couldn't get it to turn but with a lot more pressure, it actually worked! I didn't have time to inspect the lock, I just needed it opened to get to my sewer stuff so I could clean my black tank out. I'll most likely replace all my locks now that I know it's an easy job.

Go here RVLocksAndMore | RV Locks | RV Keys | Fastec FIC Locks and Keys and replace all of your locks to match your door key (assuming the 2014 has the purple Global Link key). One key for ALL! One of the best things I have done and it gets rid of the stupid CH751 key.

Only use graphite in a lock
I repeat, ONLY USE GRAPHITE IN A LOCK. WD40 and other products will gum up a lock. No locksmith uses anything but Graphite.

Another option on lock replacement is a combination lock (combi cam) 3 digits of your choosing and no searching for the key. Did mine several years ago. Only thing is sometimes a bit hard to read in the dark. Lol.
