Refrigerator fan
Has anyone installed one of the Fridge-Fix fans inside of their refrigerator? I have read about the benefits of installing this fan on their web site and it looks like a good idea. We are going to camp for a week this year in August and I thought that it would be a good thing to help eliminate the possibility of ice build up on the fins in the fridge and also help to keep the temperature more even in the fridge.

I got one 3 years ago on ebay for < $15 delivered, has two fans on a plate with an alligator clip to attach to fin, works AWESOME!
Such a small, cheap little thing and it works so well, it really did even out cold/warm spots in fridge and we also had to lower temp switch down to 2 or 3 from normally being on 4 or 5 during summer due to waking up one morning to find the eggs frozen!
I ran a hard wire down the fridge drain line to the power panel and pulled the 12V + from the power supply to fridge control board, fans pulls < 1/10 Amp, no worries. The alligator clip provides the ground so to shut it off you just unclip it from fins.

I have already checked the forum by searching fridge fans, what I am asking here is if anyone has bought and installed the Fridge-Fix brand fan and if so are they satisfied with it. I have read about the battery powered fans that you set in the fridge, I have read about the cheap Ebay fans with no on off switch or fusing, I have read about how some people have just used a computer fan and installed it. I am not looking for any of these.. just the Fridge-Fix one.

Sorry, I guess I did not notice the actual brand "Fridge Fix".
Seems very nice, nice housing, looks like 3 fans.? Cool blue LED's
So basically, it is a cheap ebay fan all dressed up....

Thanks itat, that was what I was looking for. I somehow missed that post when I did a search here on the forum. Read a lot of other posts but did not catch that one for some reason. Again, thanks.

No, actually its not. I installed one of these. The quality of the fans are way better. It works really well. I got the one without the lights and two fans and a switch. Very quiet and looks better than the cheap e-bay stuff. Remember, you get what you pay for.

You can buy these on ebay for $15-$20. It mounts to the fins with clips and has a switch to turn on and off as needed.
It works well in keeping the air moving and stops frose buildup when on for long periods of time.

X2 installed one last and installed an extra cooling fan on the exterior coils. Works great.
