Replacing the canvas in a Roo
Hi. Just wondering if anyone has ever removed the end tents on a Roo camper? If so is there any tricks to getting them back in the channels that hold them to the camper frame? Thanks.

First remove the screw near the bottom of the side metal frame that secures the tent end

Start pulling the rubber tent edge seal with firm pressure
Pull out seal all the way towards top of bunk end frame
Once tent ends are removed, carefully remove old silicone without ripping the black rubber seals
Continue to remove top tent edge seal after both sides have been removed
Beginning of job from outside
Both sides removed from outside
Totally removed

CANVAS REPLACEMENTS
http://www.canvasreplacements.com
Contact: Lorin Rigby
This company does top quality work, was very easy to work with and was the only ones willing to include vinyl windows on my new tent ends. Regular bunk end replacement with screens average around $900/ pair. My set cost $1,300 which included vinyl windows, three per bunk end. Pricey but well worth it.

Silicone sealant used, cleanup with minimal spirits
Unbox new tent ends, check to see all end seals are unfolded
Verifying all zippers work and vinyl windows are ok
Closeup of vinyl windows

Verify that all old silicone seals are removed
Apply new bead of silicone between black rubber seal and metal frame track
Clamp top edge to gutter rail, leave off last two clamps on one end to allow slack to start installing seal in frame track

Smooth out bead of silicone with gloved finger, wipe off excess being careful to not get excess on black seal to prevent bunk closure
Apply excess silicone on corners
Start installing either side tent bead, then opposite side
Apply outside silicone once sides are installed then smooth out
Secure bottom of side bead on each side, reinstall original screws to lockin tent bead
Finished Bunkend with vinyl window installed

very nice...I often wondered why pups and hybrids don't have vinyl on the bunk ends.

it may have to do with the ends being fire exits.

DW and I just wanted to have the option of having the windows open without loosing the cold air when A/C is on in summer and lose of warm air during cold weather. I think you're right about the emergency exit limitation.

I covet your windows terribly but am not ready to fork over that much money when my tents are still perfectly good.

When I came home from my last trip I found one upper corner pulled about 3" away from the groove. I took it to Camping World for repair under warranty, which they did. But, from the sound of things I'm not sure they put much effort into it. Something to the effect of "pushed back into channel, applied extra sealant".
I haven't had a chance to evaluate that work. If it looks jury-rigged, do I need to consider taking it apart and doing it myself? There's nothing wrong with the material or seams.

Rich, the OP hasn't posted on the Forum in almost 2 years now.
I suggest you PM the OP and see if they answer.
Do you own a hybrid?
By the way, the OP posted a clear pic of the push stick in post #5.
You could the other items in the pic to get a good idea of the dimensions.
