Rockwood Roo dinette question

Hey everyone..I'm new here, and new to the camping world..
Just purchased a 2014 Rockwood Roo 19..been out for the first voyage last weekend..learned alot, but a lot more to learn.. I was out there today, cleaning and looking into things..and for the life of me I can't figure out how to lower the dinette table, turning it into a bed.. I know it can't be rocket science, but dang..I see the hinges, but not like a normal "folding table"..

Can anyone help?

It really is the least intuitive thing I have ever done. It collapses a different direction than I expect. I desperately want to help but I am not kidding when I tell you it is almost an accident when I get it to work. Right when I give up it drops a different direction than I was trying to go.

You have to push the yellow button (or slide to the side, can't recall which). That unlocks it and allows it to fold. As Roovader says, it probably folds in the "wrong" direction. Last time I did mine, I had to flip it over, then fold it, then flip it back. My biggest gripe about FR is these lousy tables.

Unhook the yellow tab, and pull the top toward you. i usually have to place my foot on one of the feet of the table and lean back, pulling the tabletop towards me, then pushing down in a circular sort of motion. Hope that helps.

thank you.. I'll try that tomorrow.. I got frustrated to no end trying to figure it out today.. I'm like "really"? It's a flippin table.. ugh..

I really like the table in our roo. Very simple to set up and take down if done right. What I do when setting it up from the bed position is to lift up on the end of the table towards you and slide it ahead about a foot on the support pieces that hold it up for the be position. Then lift up the end toward you and swing the legs slightly backward and then down until the yellow latch locks it into place. Then just tip the end you are hanging onto down and onto the legs and slide the table into place. To fold it back up I once again pull the table towards me and tip the back end of the table onto the support strips and lift the front end up. Slide the yellow latch to the right and push back and up on the legs to put them into the position for making it into a bed. Then just slide it back to the wall and set it down into position. Done. It is much easier to set up and take down than the one we had in our popup camper.

One more tip. When you raise it back up you will want to put a foot on one of the crossbars on the bottom (the part that touches the floor) to hold the legs down as you pull it sideways and then up. It kind of does a "C" motion. Sideways, up and then sideways back the other direction or something.

But when you put your foot on the bottom to hold it down, make sure your legs is to the long side of the table, not in front of or next to the "end" or "short" side of the table. The first time I did it I had my leg directly in the path of the table top as it slides sideways before/during raising up. My shin was very not happy with me!

Don't get me wrong...I like the table. It is really solid and works well as a bed, I just find that the more I try and collapse it north and south, it really wants to go east and west. Seems simple enough yet it gets me every time.

I love my Roo but it is a nightmare trying to put the table up or down. Usually I end up doing it by accident.

We fold it down for travelling. Gives us more packing space. We've folded up and down so many times that the yellow button is more of a decoration than a latch.

Thats exactly why I want to fold it down.. packing space, not in the floor.. didn't have a chance to go take another look today, but will tomorrow..
