Roo 19 - Hitch Ball Size?

As the title states. I just wanted to clarify that I have the right size ready for pickup day. I believe it's a 2" ball, but confused on why other similar sized TT's have larger size.

What factors are used to determine the hitch ball size for different trailers? Another thread stated that the 2306 has a 2-5/16" ball size and it only 300-lbs heavier and 3' longer than a Roo 19. I can understand a much larger trailers possibly needing a higher rated hitch ball, but not something this close in size.

Good question RoadDog.

This explanation of ball sizes comes from etrailer.com

Thanx guys, great info. Didn't think to look on etrailer. Anyways it just seemed odd that trailers from the same manufacturer and so close in size/weight had different hitch ball sizes.
