Roo 19 Thermostat Replacement

Looking for recommendations to replace my Roo 19 furnace thermostat with a digital one. I need a very basic one for the furnace only (air conditioner is not connected to thermostat). Don't need adjustable fan speeds but want something that has a thermostat swing of a couple of degrees so the furnace doesn't cycle too often. Thanks in advance for any advice. Fly Navy!

I used a Hunter for my Roo 19. Search for Hunter thermostats, lots of information out there but it was a matter of just switching the wires.

I'm sure the Hunters are fine. I went with a LuxPro010BF (Amazon, $30) for the very reason you state: I wanted digital preciseness to calm my furnace down. That's all it is, a digital thermostat replacement for the analog version provided by the factory. 2 wires off the old one and reconnected to the new one. I only went with the Lux brand because of my experience with my Lux thermostat in my home, going on 20 years now.

UPDATE: I ended up purchasing the Honeywell RTH 2300/RTH221 series thermostat from Target for about 23 bucks. Works much better than the OEM thermostat that came with the Roo. Just hook up the two wires coming out of the camper to the thermostat's R and W connectors. Doesn't matter which camper wire goes to which R & W thermostat connection. Works like a champ controlling my heater.

Years ago, I replaced the analogue thermostat in our old hybrid (after we had owned it for several months) with a digital White/Rodgers just to see if it would give us better control and reduce the "I'm hot" / "I'm cold" comments. Best mod I ever did and the very first one I did with our new trailer Highly recommend this mod to all!!!

the Roo/Shamrock 19 has NON-ducted a/c. so their thermostat is for heating only.

your 23SS has ducted a/c, so a digital thermostat will control heat AND a/c.

i installed a Honeywell digital thermostat on my 23SS. works great except i didn't set up the fan speed. i just have it connected to the LOW setting for a/c.
