Well solar is only dependant on weather and to have enough to recharge each day would be a good many panels. Plus to run the air conditioner, we need two.

I am also a new 21dk Roo owner and interested in what the TT can and cannot do when dry camping. I've already learned a few, but can the heater (to heat the inside of the TT) work just on battery?

A generator is in the future...

Yes the heater will run on just the battery and propane, the battery provides power to the thermostat, electronics boards, and the fan the propane burns for the heat source. a single battery will last roughly a day or two depending on conservation and amount of time the blower is actually running.

Hey, thanks folks. Wow. What a great group - I love campers.

So, the heater will run on just battery power. I've a plan to beef up my battery power with a 2 marine battery set up until I get the generator.

But I was told that the A/C will not run on just battery - even though it does run on propane and just needs the electricity to jump it and etc.

Is that right - battery will run heat; but will not run A/C?

the a/c does NOT run on propane, only 120v AC power, either from shore power or a generator large enough to run it.

the microwave, a/c, heated mattresses and outlets ONLY run on 120v AC power. water pump, lights, fridge, furnace, vent fans run on 12v DC battery power.
