Is there a water filter somewhere on my camper? I don't see one in the obvious places.

When I figure this all out, I swear I'm gonna create a video library for every thing I do. It's got to help someone.

Probably near the water pump, and perhaps behind a door that looks like it should open but has been fastened shut with a hinge where you'd expect a handle.

Go through the rear outside access door and remove the panel inside. That will give you access to the filter and the water heater.

That's right, rear as in next to spare tire. In that compartment will be a divider panel you will need to remove and the water filter is mounted directly behind that panel. You should also have a plastic water filter wrench that will remove the filter canister.

can you bypass this water filter for winterizing it? I know I have seen videos where they say fill the empty clear container with antifreeze, but here in NJ some of my antifreeze froze with the cold winter, so do not want to see that happen, prefer to bypass it winterize it, and leave the clear canister on but empty. What a pain in the neck place to put that, should have been under the bathroom or kitchen sink IMO

I'm sure there is a way to put in a couple pieces of pex and some bypass valves to get around it. I didn't like the location at all and I heard too many horror stories about those canister filters vibrating loose and leaking, so I'm taking mine out. I intend to find a place for it outside the trailer and I'm not sure I'm even going to use the same canister filter either.

I put an empty water bottle in mine to minimize the amount of antifreeze in the canister.
