Roo 23IKSS Tire Change

Just purchased a new 23IKSS. What would be the recommended Tire Change Procedure and Equipment that you would recommend?

There is not many choices in that tire size. I put Goodyear marathons on my Roo last year, they seamed fine. My Roo came with Carlisles. A lot of people on hear like the Maxxis, but I had bad luck with them on my dump trailer. I am trading in the Roo today for a Rockwood Fifth wheel, not sure what brand is coming on it. I will run them for at least the first year. We are not planning any long distance trips.

Perhaps I should have been a bit more specific.
What I am looking for is procedures / equipment for changing a flat tire.
But thanks for the info, Big Rig.
I will be putting new tires on the camper in about a year.
The manufacturer's tires that come on a new TT are usually junk.
No jack, no lug wrench... at least it came with wheels.

AAA or one of the other roadside services is the best "equipment" for a tire change.

One of our Trail Express tires blew apart on our first trip this spring. AAA was there in 15 minutes with a floor jack and cordless impact driver. Had the spare on in about 5 minutes. Although he jacked it up on the axle, which the torsion axle manual specifically says not to do. "Don't worry, we do this all the time..."

If you are doing it yourself, a bottle jack on the frame between the wheels is probably the way to go. You can also get a tire aid which is a ramp for one wheel so that it lifts the other tire on that side up enough to change the tire without a jack. Or you do the same thing with stackable leveling blocks to avoid using a jack. And you'll want a decent lug wrench. The nuts are torqued to 100 lbs - they don't loosen up to easily.

Which is funny, cause AAA told me they DO NOT offer roadside assistance for a TT even if it was insured with them ( which they cancelled my policy because they we no longer going to cover TT's. Since then, have talked to many that say AAA still covers them-so why was I singled out)

Insured now with progressive with roadside.

Did you have the RV plus plan or did you have RV insurance? If you only had the basic or plus coverage your RV is not covered. You need the RV plus which covers both the TV and the TT.

I've got one of these.

Have not used it to change a tire yet but have used it to adjust the breaks and it worked great!
