Roo A/C
Sorry, subject was supposed to be Roo A/C. I'm on a mobile.
Hello all. We have a 2017 Roo 233s. We love it but I'm noticing the A/C isn't very forceful. Not blowing out with the fan very well. It's on high. It's about 93 degrees and we do have Pugs but just wondering about the level of air flow I'm supposed to be getting with the A/C. I've owned a Coachman and an Rpod that seemed fine.
Thanks.

There should be plenty of air flow out of the discharge on high. Have you taken the grill off and checked for obstructions?

The main vent grill overhead has a diverter tab that may be moved over.

Thanks for the replies.
The tabs are closed to bring the air through the ducts. When I open the tabs, seems to be somewhat decent flow there at the unit but not what I would hope. When closed the air out of the ducts seems so weak.

It is possible that one or more of the ducts are restricted. They are sometimes smashed during the build process. Also if you start the unit on a hot humid day with the quick cool dump closed, the coils can freeze up do to reduced air flow. When it is hot and humid, I run the quick cool dump full open until the interior cools down, then gradually close it to force air into the ducts. In addition some of the ducts in your unit may be 2" dia ducts even of the actual wall vent is 4". Pop the cover off the vent and check the duct size.

Those ducts never put out as much air as we'd hope they would. If you have an inspection camera it's a good place to use it. If you don't you can take the inside grill off and use a mirror to look into the ducts to see if they're clear.
I'm sure Turbs will post his picture soon, but it could be that air is recirculating between the intake and return because of a bent air dam or incorrect installation.

Thanks. I'm starting to think this is normal and I have to deal with it. Don't see any obstruction. I'll have service take another look soon. They told me today that the best we can expect is a 20 degree difference (I was getting around 15 on our trip) but still not sure about the lack of flow (lack of, in my opinion).

FWIW, the ducts our 23SS blow hard....works great. Last summer we camped in 90 deg. weather and the A/C had no trouble cooling the trailer to 70 deg.
I'm not sure if I'm lucky with a good unit, but, I have no complaints whatsoever about the performance of the A/C.

The dealer just looked at the AC and said all is good with it and the air flow. They say it's normal and the same in the other Roo's. I guess I just had different expectations, like the expectation when you sit down under a vent you could feel the air coming out. But that must not be the case. Thanks for the replies.

You should be able to feel the air coming out of the vents when you're sitting.

I have the vents aimed at the sofa and table and you can feel it when you are sitting there. I have a 15K but the fan is probably the same as 13.5.
