The only way to be completely sure the battery will NOT discharge during storage is to disconnect one of the battery leads (+).

Positive pole will work but standard 12vDC safety practice is to disconnect the
Negative (-) battery pole -- or route it to a simple weatherproof marine On/Off switch. This wire is grounded to the trailer frame and kills all power. And besides there are probably 4 or 5 wires connected to my battery Positive pole but just the one ground wire.
My Roo didn't have a factory switch so I mounted a Blue Sea switch on the outside of the plastic battery box. Red/Green indicators let me conform it's Off before I drive off. Yep, stop, get back out, and turn it off!
The LP detector and radio memory will kill the standard Group 24 battery in a little over two weeks. Switched Off my fully charged battery will be at about 70% charged after November - April storage in cold weather.
