Roo Digital Thermostat which one

Looking to replace the analog Roo Coleman Mach 3 thermostat but which one is the best digital for the Coleman AC and where do you get them

I installed this direct replacement. Was a wire for wire change. Works great and maintains 1-2 degrees.

I went for the digital version of the Coleman Mach off e-Bay. Definitely not the cheapest option - but it was black like the analog, no batteries required, and the wiring, including the 2 speed fan operation is an exact match.


Now none of those advantages are huge, so can you get pretty much any digital thermostat from a home improvement store and make it work for 1/3 the price. You may have to pick one fan speed, but we typically only use low anyway. Plus, if you wanted a programmable model you could go that route.


Not matter which one you pick, you won't regret replacing that lousy analog t-stat.

Post a photo or link or model # of the Dometic model you are looking at. The Coleman/Mach has 6 wires going to it.

There are a number of posts here about converting a residential t stat for Rv use that will allow the two fan speeds. There are also sites on the web as well. I just went with the Coleman digital for the wire to wire install. I just wish it had a backlit screen.

Wicked1. Your 23IKSS came with a Coleman A/C? My manual says it is an Airxcel A/C. Is that the same as the Coleman?

Alot of the manuals are so generic they are useless...take a look at your existing stat..is it a Coleman? I replaced ours with the digital Coleman pictured above from Amazon...best price.
