RV Cover Pro/Cons, Recommendations
I'm thinking of purchasing an RV cover for my 2019 Rockwood Roo 233s for the upcoming winter. I live in New England, get a decent amount of snow/wind and will probably leave it in my driveway which has several oak trees that are just stating to lose their leaves. I'm interested in the pro's and con's and also would like to hear what covers (make/model) you have bought for my particular unit or very similar and whether you would recommend or not me purchasing the same cover.

Have you tried a forum search? Lots of discussion every year at this time on this topic. FWIW, I live in New England and have a cover. Personally, I think it's a good investment.

This is the Classic Accessories cover I put on my 233S. I love it. I leave in my driveway and plugged in and when raining leave the vent fans running so it creates a nice air cushion between the cover and the roof of the trailer causing everything to run off easily and quickly. FYI.

That is interesting on running the fans. Mine runs off fine. Calmark cover on mine. Love it so far.

I've used ADCO covers for years. Expect maybe 3 years or so a replacement is needed. I put our trailer nose down in the winter so water from rain or snow melt runs off. I like how it keeps blowing snow out of the AC units on the roof.

This is our first year with our 21SS and I just ordered a cover today. Ohio winters can be nasty at times and ours stays parked outside as well. I am going to cover it and put some of those hanging desiccant packs in it to help with humidity.

Cover it up.
Bought shelter " Camper port. day after buying travel trailer at Charlotte, NC RV Show. Ruined a pop up camper by not having it covered. Spend more on cover and less on Camper. The roof is on of the weakest parts, requires the most care and maintenance. RV roofs are damaged by UV light.

Soft Covers are a complete waste of money unless you have the metal carport type. Totally worth the extra money. From what I have seen the soft covers last about three years.

Several inexpensive inflatable beach balls placed along the centerline of the roof will do the same without any fans.

Cover... Pro's and Con's
Working on 4th year and very satisfied with the durability of our ADCO cover. Putting tennis balls on the gutters for potential damage to the cover.

I've been searching for the same information. Picking up our 2020 Geo Pro in 2 weeks and want to cover it as well; I'm looking at the Classic Accessories Overdrive Perms Pro.

Wish I had made "carport" wider and longer. Bought new because of all the used RVs with signs of leaks. Unless you are going to spend a lot of time on the roof put it under a shelter. I have a friend that spent 10k on replacing the roof on his fifth wheel. Some old farms rent RV space under buildings they no longer use.

I'd love to put up a building to park my MicroLite in ------ BUT------- zoning and HOA won't allow it.

Size and Source? I emailed the poster of this but never got a response. My ADCO didn't last two years before it removed itself from the trailer like your pajama bottoms when the drawstring breaks.

Hi, I'm the original poster but I did not get a email or message from you. I've have the cover for 1.5 years with no issues, yet. I just sold that trailer, with the cover, as I'm buying a new trailer. The size was to fit my 233S, which has a 21.5 or so box and a 24' hitch to bumper total length, so I think I bought a cover that would cover a 25' trailer. The cover fits very loose, but you can make it tighter with straps so it works fine. I bought it from Amazon. I assume that is what you meant by source. If you have other questions let me know.

Found what appears to be the cover. Hope it's better than the Adco in this climate.

I asked the same question 4-years ago when we bought our trailer, someone replied “Does your local RV dealer cover there’s?”
We live in RI and have never covered ours, never have had any issues.
We also go in our trailer at least once a week and run the heat for a little while.
