This thread went from fresh water drain to low point drains when a pic of low point drains was posted early. I only use low point drains to winterize also.

To answer the question on why you might drain everything between trips do the following, Take a short piece ( 12"-16") of clear plastic hose/tubing about 1/2" diameter. Fill it with water from your FW tank. Plug the ends just to prevent water from leaking out. Put it in your RV in a dark spot ( closet or storage space). After about a month or so pull it out and see what you have growing inside.

Well here you go. It's not pretty, but it works. Pump comes on and no water leaking now. After looking closer, there is a second hole in the floor (I am assuming where the factory installed the little access panel. I am not putting anything back just yet. Camping like this and will make sure that there are no leaks this weekend.

If you look close, you can see the screw hole at the end by where it goes under the flooring.
