Question Selling my Roo 21SS - Need advice- buying 23SS

Hello everyone,

I bought my 2005 21SS two years from my boss. I love it. However, it is time to move up to a brand new 23SS. Here's my dilemma, I don't know how much to ask for the 21SS. It's not perfect, it has pin size hole on the front tent..it does not leak (awning tape...new bunk end though), my ex-boss replaced the bathroom floor cause it had a leak. No leaks now but when they put it together they did not hook up the heater vents so no hot air out of the bathroom!!. It has some slight delamination on the right rear area, (dealer said it was caused by heat and there is no water damage) you cant tell unless you look at it from the side. Other than that the inside is clean and everything works great.

I want to ask a fair price and I think it will make a great starter camper for a new family to enjoy and make great memories. I just don't know what a fair asking price would be. Keeping in mind the aforementioned issues....any suggestions???

Yep - start with nada then review the listings in your area on Craigslist or other venues to get an idea what trailers are listing at. Selling prices are very dependent on your area.

Now is a good time to sell so don't wait long to put it up. Maybe have a friend help if this is your first sale.

Have you found a new 23ss yet? What are you wanting to spend? I bought mine 1 month ago used it once and would be interested in selling.

Thats what I said too but DW and DD got freaked out when a little thunderstorm came through this past weekend... I've probably made a big mistake and will be camping by myself....lol wouldn't be much fun though. Wife's orders to try to figure out something else.

Well, it was intended for the OP, Isant777; but it is for anyone considering buying or selling their RV.

The edmunds site also has a great article on buying used cars from a dealer as well.

There are also sites that go into how to properly evaluate what someone is selling; (what to check - like current - but not too current - roof sealant; mold and water stains).

Thanks everyone for your input...but I decided to "hold" for a while. Had a few people take a look at it and they have been spooked by the delamination (I would too) perhaps I should just keep it and use it till it cant go no more.

My friend Sam did that with his old camper. A nice trucker flagged him down to let him know his entire side had opened like a tuna can and insulation was blowing down the highway.

He used a drill gun and LONG screws to re attach the sheet metal to the rotted studs as best he could to get it home.

He sold it at fire sale prices to a guy who planned to drop it in his field for a hunting blind.
