Sensitive Carbon Monoxide units

Does anyone else have issues with the Carbon Monoxide/Propane Detection unit being ultra sensitive on their Roo? On our 2017 IKSS it doesn't take much as all to set it off; example using the shower (even with the fan running). I don't know if we have a faulty unit that needs replaced or if they are all that sensitive.

I don't have a Roo, but mine never goes off with the shower or cooking and it's right next to the bathroom door. I did however, have a problem one time last season when I was putting an orange powder tank deodorizer pouch in the toilet. The pouch broke in my hand when I was dropping it in the toilet and I guess the spilled powder on the floor gave off fumes that set the detector off. I had to unplug it until I got it all cleaned up and aired out because silencing only worked for a short time.

Also, your 2017 should be good unless they installed some really old stock, but those detectors do have an expiration date sticker on the back and will start going off a lot when they get old. I think it's 5 or 7 years.

Seems overly sensitive. I’d buy a replacement. They’re not super expensive and it helps you to be safer.

If the new one goes off, maybe you really have an issue with CO leaking.

On my 23SS it was extremely sensitive for the first two years. Finally disconnected, blew out with air hose and reinstalled. That seemed to be the problem. Now it works when it should.

My CO/Combustible Gas detector is very sensitive, too. My dogs’ farts hurt its feelings all of the time. It always seems to be around 2:00am when this happens.

I have a 2019 alpha wolf 26DBHL has a really sensitive CO detector. Whenever there is a slight breeze or the fantastic fan is on it seems to go off. Maybe I need a replacement but I’ll ask the dealer to look into it at my next service
