Shamrock 23SS
So, I'm looking at purchasing a used 2015 Flagstaff Shamrock 23SS. Does anyone out there have one, and if so, is there anything I should look at or be aware/concerned about when I inspect it? Also, what has been you overall impression of the trailer? I'm moving up from a 2008 Starcraft hybrid.

I have a Roo 23SS which is the same trailer with different decals. Best floor plan ever. If an asteroid turned ours into smoke and powder I'd buy another one. No special concerns.
Since you already have a hybrid you're no doubt familiar with the quirks and preventive maintenance.
If this trailer lacks a canopy over the slide out I'd get one fitted. Prevents bringing leaves and bird poop into the trailer when retracted.
Before you buy used price this trailer at RVWholesalers. New, often only days out of the factory.

We have a 2012 ROO 23SS and love it. You obviously like the floorplan if your considering it.
We've never had ours back for warranty work. It's been a great trailer. I would ensure the bunk ends don't leak, all appliances, including slide- out works.
I don't believe they're prone to specific problems, other than bunk end leaks a number of years ago and it may have been resolved.
Good luck

The first thing I would check with any hybrid is the bed seals and look for any signs of water damage as a result of leaking seals.
Some people have also had issues with the bed hinges along the bottom of the bed. In some cases there were apparently not enough rivets put in during assembly which causes the hinge to warp.
Good luck and like others have mentioned, it's one of the best Hybrid floor plans out there...

We had a 23SS for 10 years and loved it. One of the rare hybrid floorplans with good kitchen counterspace, which was the DW's #1 requirement.
Only sold it because a regular TT fit our new retired lifestyle better.
We still miss the openness of it.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I picked the unit up on Friday. Now, I just need to figure out a few things such as how to avoid paying lots of money for the installed water filter.

Try Home Depot for the cartridge. The one in mine is common as grass.

Chuck, I'm pretty sure the 2015 Roo came with the more expensive and harder to find KW-1 filter, not the cheaper and easy to find filter we had in our older Roos.

You mean the one with the little tits on it? I've seen these at the rv store and at Home depot (or, maybe the plumbing supply store), they're not unique to travel trailers. Never priced them, though. My refrigerator may use one, and I buy those on line.

Retail prices can depend on the niche store.
A dentist buddy was having an office built and needed small stainless steel sinks. From the "dental supply store" they were very expensive, less expensive at the yacht supply store, and he finally got them at some generic plumbing store or Home Depot for a fraction of the cost. Same part number was stamped on all of them. RV store is my bet for the most expensive place for this filter.
