sounds like the trim is missing from the edges/corners. not sure if the newer ones have a gasket on the edges, instead of the trim that mine has.
something ain't right since this issue is one i haven't read about in the 6 years i've been on Hybrid forums.

Yes, the video of the 2010 has the white trim around the outside and a black rubber gasket on the inside. Another person here has a 2011 with white trim on outside of doors.
Something is definitely amiss.

Inside the white gasket that runs around the outside of the bunk door is a metal wire. I found a piece protruding this summer and I had to cut it off. It was to a point and extremely sharp. I was lucky I caught it before it tore something. It was rusty. Check for sharp edges then eliminate. I am assuming this is on the side canvas that the cords attach to somewhere near the corner gussett and not on the flap with the snaps?

i'm so glad you posted this question!!
i had my front bunk door replaced, free of charge, when they installed new seals over a year ago.
they never installed the snaps and velcro, so i was always planning on taking it back for them to finish it.

after seeing your pics, i went out to take pics of mine, since i knew that mine has the white trim.
lo and behold, the newer front bunk door is just like yours, lacking the white trim that my rear bunk door has.
but i've never had any tears so that's why i probably never noticed it.
i'll load up my pics as soon as i can, of both doors.

The three bunks on my 2012 Shamrock 233S have the white gasket on trimming the edges and corners. This seems to work well.

Here are pics from my phone. I'm camping so I hope this works.
