Showers heads.
So as some of you know, the shower head was cracked when I went to use it last weekend. So I bought a better on at CW yesterday and installed it today, but it leaks. It didn't come with a new rubber seal and the old one won't allow me to install properly.
My question, do I have to use a new shower hose as well? I just assumed I could use the existing one.
So after I tried that, I went to the outdoor shower to remove that head to use inside. It was also cracked. So I guess I'm off to the dealer again tomorrow...

i would return the CW one and buy a Oxygenics one.
it is one of the most popular mods on any RV. i would say that nearly 100% of those that have installed one, are glad they did.
the water savings and the amazing power spray are well worth the cost.
i picked up a brand new chrome one on Ebay, for about $21.

X2 on the Oxygenetics - I have a white one and it works great even with low water pressure -
I changed out my water filter and apparently its the wrong one cause I had low water pressure all weekend on my trip - gonna get the right filter and replace then one I put in - I didnt realize a 5 micron was going to cut my water pressure alot.
with the old head I would run out of the 6 gallons of hot water and noticed I can stay longer with this shower head - big diffrence

Help with Oxygenics head.
All I can find is the shower head at CW. Is this what you added to yours?

X3 on the oxygenics... installed this weekend and worked great. Also installed an 'on and off' valve to save water. worked great!
It was a great upgrade!

Teamgl..... hate to tell you, but the Oxygenics has an off/on valve built in. Yes, I found out the hard way. Nothing like TWO valves to really make showering interesting!!!

I installed a true on and off valve as well but decided not to use it but it still there in case I want to - yes the oxygenics has a knob that you turn but it doesnt completely turn the water off
I added an on/off to my outside shower head as well and it does make it intresting to know how to get it on when everything is off and you cant remember what the right positions were

it's right under the shower head - if you hold it and turn the shower head you will notice it turn - it will have ridges in the piece and is connected between the hose and the shower head

(just check the installation instructions... Glad I did because this little valve was bound for the trash can.)
there is a 'comfort flow valve' that comes with the oxygenics shower head and hose. it installs between the shower head and hose and twists to control the flow of water out of the shower head. as said before, it will not shut off the water completely.
somewhere between rinse and repeat.. there is some water savings by installing a true on-off valve.
Enjoy the oxygenics shower head.

I thought the valve was already connected to the hose - apparently not - good catch

BTW-- I purchased that shower head for the outside shower. The white switch that looks like an 'on off valve' is a comfort control valve. it'll shut the water down to a trickle.
The oxygenics shower heads seem to provide a nice shower without a lot of wasting water.... I ran this shower head for a few minutes and only used a gallon or so of water. And it still provided a good rinse.
It'll be nice when in dry-camping (water conservation) mode.
