Congrats on the 233S. We love ours. Can't wait for the weather to clear a little more so we can get the cover off & get out & use it. Enjoy doing the mods that you decide to do to it to make it yours.

Well, we didn't get an F450, but are upgrading to a F150 Supercrew with the 3.5 Ecoboost, trailer tow and payload package!

We were at the same Michigan show and ordered a Roo. What state parks do you like in Michigan? We started camping with our family last year with a Forest River pop-up, we liked it better than a tent, but it was a lot of work to setup and take down (especially with young kids) so within one camping season, we upgraded. I sure hope we don't get the itch to upgrade next year.... Too expensive of an obsession!

Last summer we went to Sleepy Hollow, Metamora and Sleeper. This year we booked Petosky and Muskegon so far.

Hello, and congratulations on the new Roo! Which did you order?

We stayed at Muskegon a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Be sure to tour the USS Silversides. We love Petoskey, and have stayed there many times. Traverse City is a great area although the park isn't anything spectacular. We tend to favor parks on the western shore in the northern part of the lower penninsula. We enjoyed Young State Park near Charlevoix and Wilderness State Park in Mackinaw City, both highly recommended. Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the UP is an experience! We have camped there the past several years and actually just returned from there a few days ago (didn't camp....too cold!! But you could). The staff there are exceptional and run some great programs for the kids. This year we are going to Van Riper State Park near Marquette instead. There is so much to do and see in the upper penninsula!!

I am sure you will have a great time at the parks you booked as the beaches are awesome!!

Good camping!!

We ordered the 23ikss for the same reasons your wife liked. We strongly considered the 233S last year for the extra bed for guests, but talked ourselves into hoping that the hide-a-bed option would cover that need. Only time will tell.

Thanks so much for the reccommendations. As we venture further to the West and North it is much better to hear from people first hand who have tried these parks. We also tried getting into Luddington, but that park is so popular we did not book fast enough. Hopefully next year. Would you believe there is a guy at my work who has automated computer scripts that go online at the time the sites become available to book his trips for the year?

Feasba: Yes, I actually can believe your friend would go to such methods to book a site at some parks! My wife is very diligent in booking our trips! Ludington is one of those parks that are very difficult to get into. Beautiful beach there, and the lazy river is great for your kids.

We have also stayed at Mill Creek just outside of Mackinaw City. It isn't a state park, but there are lots of activities for the kids and it is right on Lake Huron. We love the Mackinaw area, and the Petoskey area also. There are so many great places to camp in this state!

Been haggling on a new 233s down in Florida. Would you mind sharing what you ended up paying for it?

We have a 2014 233s - had several issues w it so we are looking to trade in for a newer unit.

LOVE the hybrids!
