Slide lock / transit bars, are they stock?

I just bought a 2013 Rockwood Roo 233S. The dealer did not give me slide locks? Should he have done so? Are they stock safety item? Not sure if I will use them or not, but if I ever sell it, the next person may want them.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge & time!

Hello and welcome to the forums! If you don't receive much feedback here you may try posting in the Rockwood forum.

i'm pretty sure you should have at least one, since the slideout on the 233S is smaller than most.
my Roo 23SS's superslide came with 2 transit bars.

My 2012 233S came with a slide lock bar, so I assume you should have gotten one also. I would contact your dealer and let him (or her) know that you never got it. Hopefully they will recognize the mistake and get one to you promptly. We don't use ours, but we paid for it; and as with most things, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Ours came with 2 also the bars come from the factory not the dealer. Just for the heck of it have you looked in the drawer under the sofa, a lot of dealers just toss them in there when they PDI a trl.

Mine came with two, but during the pre-delivery, the dealer told me that they were an "unnecessary nuisance". For the first season and a half, I didn't use them, but after some reading and research, I realized that they were there, and Rockwood supplied them, for a REASON!

I figure that it only adds about 60 each seconds to install them after running the slide in. That's two minutes invested in protecting the road-worthyness of my slide and TT.....

I have one slide on my 233S and it came with one. I haven't used it once, and haven't had an issue.

Having said that, I think its good insurance to do so and I admit I just was lazy. Also, not having used one before with another trailer and a slide I was worried that (out of habit) I would extend the slide without removing it first.

I plan to begin using it and will instal a cover or a sign on my slide-out switch to remind me when its in place.

It's a shame they don't put an interlock switch that automatically shuts off power to the slide when the poles are in place.

I likely didn't get them with our 21SS because....I have NO IDEA what they are! Anyone want to enlighten me?? :-)
