Slide supports?? Who uses them?

I have seen them in the parts store. I was wondering if anybody here uses them?
The 23ikss super slide comes out about 3 times farther then our slide in our cub.
I just wanted to see if they are needed, recomended?

I do not use them, some here have posted they do while others have asked what would happen if a slide side tire was to go flat or sink in soft ground while the supports were in place.

Then there is what would happen if someone used them to much and damaged the slide mechanism.

slide supports haven't been necessary for at least the last 10 years of slides.
they are leftovers from the early days of slideouts or as they were called tipouts. the tech then was new and there were a lot of issues with them.

now, if you use them, you could void the slide's warranty. in fact, there is often a warning sticker NOT to use them.

My owner's manual specifically states to NOT use them.
