I don't much worry about it, but I don't see any problem with gently scooping or pushing it off if you're concerned. I've talked with others in my area and there doesn't seem to be any "correct" thing to do.
if you decide that you want to, remember to avoid the skylights, antennas, covers and vents as breaking one of these will cause you many more problems when it melts. Definitely would not recommend climbing onto the roof as there's more risk to you and the cold has made things more brittle to begin with.
