I just purchased a 2007 23B Roo, it has issues with these doors (makes a crackling noise when crawling into the area).
I have worked on other 'systems' and structures that are exposed to weather; I have the idea of using aluminum honeycomb in place of the foam panels and MAYBE FRP for the inner panel instead of vinyl and Luan? The doors will definitely be solid! I am thinking that the FRP might be too hard? I am also thinking of replacing all the steel screws with stainless (replace over time). Yes, I will have to paint the screw heads unless I can find powder coated screws.
Thoughts from anyone who has rebuilt these doors?
I like the thought about a flap over the top. That will help keep out most of the rain forced in by towing?
In the end, a usable system is the end game so that we can get out!
Thanks
