Stabilize first?

So after leveling the 233S. Should I run the 4 stabilizers down first and then fold down the bunks and push out the side or should I put the stabilizers down after I do all that? Wasn’t sure if I would be adding any flex somewhere.

It is a matter of preference, but on our trailer I put the stabilizers down first as being under the sides they are hard to reach with the slides out.

The stabilizers should not support weight.

Stabilizers are the last thing I do.

I won't be level unless I run the slide out first and the bunks are out. Stabilizers are just what their name specifies, they're not levelers.

Factory advice? That implies there's some sort of manual and I'v only seen the most generic of manuals. Sometimes procedures need to be modified based on individual trailers and experience. Stabilizers just stop the wiggle.

I always run mine down once I'm level prior to opening up. Once everything is done, I'll check the level and I have yet to see it move.

I level best I can and then drop the stabilizer PRIOR to putting out slide/bunks/awning... its just the way i have run things since the beginning. Exactly reverse when packing up to leave. We even hook water and electric PRIOR to opening everything up essentially because its much easier to walk circles around the rig when everything is stowed...AND as an added benefit.....I end up much less likely to bang my thick skull into anything too!!

I have seen lighter weight pop ups that would tip backwards if the bed was out and the stabilizers weren't down yet. Usually it happens when a 250 pound dude climbs back on the bunk trying to set up the canvas and it promptly dumps him out on the ground and then tips back level again. I imagine it's pretty funny as long as nobody gets hurt so I reccomend others do it that way but I personally put down all the stabilizers first.

Exactly!

Level, stabilize and then slide out bunks.

This topic is about a Roo hybrid, not a popup where must stabilize before you enter the trailer and move to the rear. Different techniques apply. A hybrid without a slide or with a little slide is gonna be different from my Roo 23SS where I need to run the slide out before I level since there are no levelers on these trailers, just stabilizers.
